Key has been rubbing his critic's noses in it since about halfway through last season. I'm really not sure why some people keep banging on about the same things when he's not been far off one of our more consistently impressive performers for quite some time now.

For a lot of them it's because they spent so much previous time doing it they almost have to reprogramme their brains to think otherwise.
You see it all the time with Fulton. As impressive as his performances are, it will only take one average one before they're all off slagging him off again, or pretending that it's only recently he's been playing well despite his about 300 games for the club. It's almost a reflex action.
Vague hints of it coming through with Vipotnik as well. People turning on him really quickly. I'll be expecting a Jack247 comeback if he goes another game or two without a goal. | |

Not sure if Charlton are all that. Winning at West Ham was a decent result, but they've not played anyone else particularly amazing. Similar to us if I'm being really honest, but I think we've got more about us.
Saw a stat about Hellberg earlier which surprised me. Apparently only four wins in the last seventeen games despite their spending.
If we play to our full potential we'll beat Wrexham. For all they've invested there's not many players in their squad that I think would be an obvious improvement on ours, and that includes O'Brien. | |

I’m expressing my opinion in a similar way you do with Stamenic. You’ll have your reasons, I don’t agree but I don’t see any need to make snide comments towards you. I’ve laid out my reasons why. There’s no malice or hate, quite the opposite. I want him to do well but my opinion is that he’s not up to it. Doesn’t need vitriolic replies, just discussion.
He used to leave the winger too much room. He’s cut that out to an extent now but he was robbed on one occasion on Tuesday night far too easily. He's not bad, he’s just not good enough going forward. I feel a lot more confident with Lissah there but that leaves a vacancy at CH which may be an issue. I’m not Cabango’s greatest fan and know very little about Seelt.

Quite interesting in the game against Watford was a number of balls by Lissah missed out Key completely going straight to Opoku leaving him one on one with the fullback but also giving him the option for Key who hanging deeper to hold the opposition wide player in position which allowed Key to come forward onto a ball at pace instead of closing Opoku's space up early in an attack. We have seen Cabango play similar balls but I think he became worried about his pass to high up the pitch being cut out, remember thinking for the first goal against Watford that a number of passes from deep could have been cut out but the precision of the passes bypassed that threat.
Key holding deeper and similarly Tymon now keep the threat from the wingers to a minimum by getting tighter but we have seen them tuck inside a bit leaving the wingers space under Matos at times, with such attack minded fullbacks it needs to a level of control by them as to when to attack and when to defend which under previous managers seemed missing or was it a case of the midfielders not covering their forward runs, both Just and Widell seem to do a lot of hard work in the midfield where as Eustaquio seemed to be in the right position a lot.

One of the things that could be adjusted is our full backs defending so narrowly. Stop giving the freedom of the pitch to opposition wingers.
That said, Kieffer Moore has always caused us problems especially in his Bournemouth days. Stop the crosses & he becomes pretty lame |

Each team sets a number of problems for us during a game and we have to be able to adjust to suit to negate threats while maintaining ours. | | | |

What i did notice on Tuesday was that instead of playing one DM we seemd to have both Stamenic and Eustaquio interchangeing and a bit further forward, with Key and Tymon covering the space when needed. We will have to wait and see if that is the tactic going forward or one off for the Watford game. | | | |

Lissah is clearly a class act with a big future
He’s our next hot property
We need to nurture him
IMO , he is by far a more solid defender than the present incumbent at RB
I would play him RB tomorrow and bring on Seelt to look after Moore, derided by some but we know deep down he’s very dangerous
