Game of the Championship day : Swans to reshuffle for visit of West Ham 15th Oct 2026 10:02
It mist certainly is the game of the day this weekend in the Championship. The Swans take on the Hammers with the home side slightly depleted. The Hammers come straight from their shooting practice away game at Lincoln City. 1

Opta Analyst's supercomputer has given Swansea a 37 per cent chance of winning, while the East London club stand at 36 per cent. The possibility of a draw is 26 per cent, but it could actually be the most likely outcome, given how tight it looks.

Not often I cheer Cardiff City on, but good result for them and us today at Boro.

Who played him on side Cabango, cos he was miles past Welsh.

Extremely happy with the performance; unfortunate not to be level

A definite red but not a penalty is my opinion.

Without a doubt, it wasn't a good match from us. A big part of that was down to the quality of the opposition—individually, West Ham are really tough. But I think we have to look at the positives from this fixture. Firstly, Ronald put in a solid shift in a position that isn't naturally his. Secondly, Vigoroux proved once again that he's in the top 3 keepers in this league. And thirdly, and most importantly for me, we went toe-to-toe with the clear promotion favourites—a side with the most expensive squad in the league—and we managed to compete without getting steamrolled.

If we're honest, none of us expected to be playing at such a high level at the start of the season. The campaign is still young and we're right up there near the top. We can keep winning and pushing for a playoff spot at the very least, and with a bit of luck, maybe even automatic promotion. It's not the time to turn critical; it's time to keep faith that we're on the right track, even when we drop points

This is a game where most if all we lacked composure. Snatching at things and that last minute decision by Ronald, who otherwise had a great game was puzzling to say the least.

Also, I think we need to work on a way of getting the ball into the box quicker. Towards the end we were neatly passing it around on the touchline and patiently trying to move the ball forward but there wasn’t time for that. Something to recognise and something to put right hopefully.

That was a point dropped there today, we were good for the draw but lack of conviction and the composure I mentioned means we lost all 3.

I’m disappointed but a week to rest and go again.

Finally, the ref made a couple of glaring errors, the red card (or not) decision and the foul on Opoku ? down the right which the linesman had a great view of. Maybe the rules have changed without me knowing!

Great effort.

Didn't get the rub of the green at all how many times did the final ball go to them!

Most we deserved was one point. So it's not hurting me as much.

More importantly, the performance showed we deserve to be where we are at the top of the league

The difference maker responsible for a 3-goal swing----

Big Ben

Shame. He must be feeling it.

Quite some way off our best today, though we could easily have come away with a point. I do wonder if we have regressed a bit in the last few games in terms of forward momentum and penetration, even though we had come off two wins. Hopefully, Matos can get us back on the front foot. Cardiif did us a favour today so that Boro won't be feeling much better than us.

Really enjoyed the game which I rarely do when we lose. Ref was very reluctant to blow his whistle.. The 3 times he stopped the game when their player was down was annoying. As someone said earlier, we went toe to toe and will probably be in the play off mix cum the end of season. Eom was immense when he came on and must be pushing for a start.

They certainly didn’t look better than us
We had our chances , just didn’t put them away and Vigs made some world class saves
Only gripe I’ve got was the slow ,’to me to you ‘ , slow sideways and back cack when when we’re losing
we look so much better moving it forwards quicker, because when we do we look so good and dangerous

Despite the ref it was a decent performance from us but we lacked quality in the box today. Apart from his header in the last minute I thought Ronald did really well and his pace was always a threat. Might sound stupid but I was impressed we didn’t go headless chicken football in the last 15 minutes just punting the ball and hoping. We stuck to our style of play and nearly reaped the rewards in the last 5 minutes.

I might be against the grain but I thought we played well and were at least as good as the favourites for promotion. Granted Vigouroux kept us in the game with a couple of excellent saves. If we could hit a barn door we would have won, I don't think we had a shot on target although we had more than our fair share. In short we went toe to toe with the favourites to go up. Man for man I thought we were equal on another day the result could have gone the other way.

I thought WH were very professional. Someone mentioned getting the ball into the box. In the second half Welsh was looking to set Tymon off down the wing him being the best crosser of the ball. Whenever he looked to play the ball to him Bowen just moved a yard to his right and the angle was gone. They did the same all over the pitch hence the slow build up at times because the angles were gone.

On balance i'd say they deserved it. And allowing for the fact that they're the strongest team in the league i'm not too despondent. We showed why we are where we are. We just have to lift our heads and go again next week.

Nice to see a real crowd there today.
