Not keen on Guiness. Last time I was in Dublin I was the only one drinking lager.

Are you flying from Bristol? I love Dublin. The ha'penny bridge pub is my favourite quiet pub. Plus the hotel with a nightclub underneath the Arlington is absolutely superb.

Haven’t thought about the logistics yet to be honest. Literally only bought the tickets 30 minutes ago.

You haven't got to bring alcohol into every thread mind.

Oh and if anyone's wondering they're both from 1981.
I can remember Johnny playing up at The Diamond well enough, Daz, remember how disappointed I was not to have gone. I was still in school in '81 and too young to drive. Getting to and from Caerphilly was impossible for a weeknight gig on public transport; not only that, £50 for tickets for myself and the girl I was sweet on at the time was beyond my reach. £50 for a pair of tickets in 1981 was a salty old tariff! I did get to see him a few times in subsequent years, mind. I did get other chances I'm happy to report.
Reading that old ad, if I'm reading it correctly, seems to suggest Cash was playing two gigs at The Diamond - one on the 21st and again on the 24th. I don't remember that?

Judging by the state Cash was in most the time, I don't think he did either.

Been on a Wanda Jackson kick tonight.
I've seen her a couple of times too. The last was up at the Pop Factory in Porth a couple of years ago. She's a good age now. The stories in between the songs about the people she's played with was worth the admission alone.

I had some great cuttings in the library today. Even had one on myself arrested in 1981 coming from the Troubadour in Port Talbot after calling a copper a cùnt for virtually knocking my mate out with one punch for absolutely nothing. Got fined £60 and it was a right carve up,it was a family friends 18th birthday party and my mother was there too.
And no I'm not posting it on here.

Just watched a short set of her from this year. The voice has held well. Coming up to 80 years old. Loved to have watched her, always on in my Grandparents when younger.
