When We Won at Arsenal & co 06:54 - Oct 29 with 2445 viewsSTID2017

We never went all out and dominated the games, for all that our memories would like to remember it that way.
They were great counter - attacking performances which got their just rewards.
One or two on here expected us to take the game to Arsenal yesterday. If we had we'd have been hammered.
In context, yesterday was a great performance yestrday that almost got it's just rewards.
Well done lads.

Yes, when we won there, and at Chelsea and at Old Trafford, we played exactly like we did yesterday. Luck went for us on those days, not yesterday.

But we did have better players then that could take chances and had more confidence on the ball. That has changed, but there we are, it has changed and that is it. Somehow we have find a way to beat lesser teams at home. With the players we have. That needs more confidence and coached attacking patterns. Manager and coaches need to pull their fingers out and earn their money. One thing that would help is more movement. Players on the ball have no options far too often, even if they are looking for them, and also frigging SHOOT.

Can this bunch of coaches do it? Serious doubts, but there’s no more time for excuses.

We're Swansea fans.
Blessed with rose tinted memories and huge dollops of either optimism or pessimism depending on what day it is.
Friday/ Saturday morning- we're going to win here
Sunday- we're dooooooommmmmeed.

Always been the way.
Just more prevalent since t'internet came along as it was done in the pubs/ workplaces/ school yards etc in the olden days. Not en masse.
We have some great memories. We have some bad ones. We have thousands we'd rather just forget about/ wish they'd never occurred (in life and football .)

Just be optimistic for next couple of games to start.
Me.
I still want us to be safe/ competitive every game/ boys try their hardest and go and win the FA Cuppppahhhh, same as I do every season.
And until each Cup game comes along it's still a possibility.

Just become very disillusioned with everything going on behind the scenes, especially as it's no longer pretty to watch on the pitch.

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.

Yes, we do have a reluctance to shoot, which is usually a confidence issue.
However a lot of that may stem from the fact that most of the team can't hit the goal from any distance.
Do they even practice it in training.
I would love to see any itenerary of their Training in detail to find out just what it is they do do.

I remember us beating the Gunners at Highbury in the top tier 35 years ago 2 - zip and the Swans being in control.

Singing "what's the score Brian Moore, what's the score?"

Walking politely through their shower of sh1te to get to 'our end' in the middle of the London w**kers.

Didn't realise/ forgot it was 35 years ago
Sh1t. I'm getting old without realising it

Long time ago. We had 14 players who stood out similar to what Laudrup imagined and played teams like ipswich and liverpool away and dominated them.

It didnt work out once we picked up some injuries and spent too much money on the ground.

We now have a bigger squad and a stronger club.

Id say we could still do some teams this year especially if Clucas finds his feet.

Cant afford another Leicester turn out next game.

While we sit back with a defensive strategy, we are pretty tight. Our problems occur when we actually try to take the game to the opposition, tactically everything goes to pot.
If we are going to sit back as the default tactic, we have to break with lightening pace and precision Leicester-style.

Lightening pace?

Thank God we have Fer Carroll and Ki in our midfield then.

Like your optimism - if only we'd have signed some players with lightening pace.

With respect, did you see Clucas' goal?
Have you watched Tammy playing ?
Even Ki, who seems to be coming back to the player we know he can be, can shift when given the opportunity.
