Amy?

Ever since my son was... never conceived, because I've never had consensual sex without money involved... I've always kind of looked at you as... a thing, that I could live next to... in accordance with state laws.

Have they tried to figure out why she gets recurrent infections?

She doesn’t really this is the first one of similar style since she had Sepsis nearly three years ago.

She’s responded well to the antibiotics and they’ve sent her home with some nurses coming twice tomorrow to give her antibiotics by injection.

All the best for your family Darren. Now the rant cos I don't care anymore.

Sixth biggest economy in the world and the health system underfunded.

My mother fractured her hip on Boxing Day and had to wait 5 hours for an ambulance. She had the carer with her who'd made her as comfortable as possible. The people working in the system are bloody brilliant, it's just underfunded so that the Tory bastards can eventually privatise it.

Rant over.

Shocking state the country is in my friend but the staff in A&E have been outstanding this week under difficult circumstances.

They offered to send an ambulance to the house on Boxing night just to do Amy’s obs and if they showed up any concerns they could then take her in,the wife said that’s fine how long do you think it will be and they replied about 5 hours, the wife said you’re having a laugh she nearly died of Sepsis two years ago and they said sorry but you’ll just have to wait your turn. We jumped in the car and went over and they did find an infection.

I hope mam is doing well and getting all the best treatment that she deserves.

Thanks, she's had an OP and touchwood she's doing fine. I couldn't agree more with you about the staff, they've been absolutely fantastic. Glad to hear that Amy is responding to the antibiotics, you clearly did the right thing taking her directly to the hospital. All the best to you and your family for 2018.

All the best to your Mum, mate, and to Amy too, Dar.

White Transit van man shot out of a side street and ripped off the front of the Mokka, which my Mrs was driving. By the time I got to the scene, there were two police cars and a fire engine. A police officer was doing his best to get an ambulance, but eventually had to tell us that there wasn't one, and that we may wish to go to A&E ourselves, which we did.

I had to go to ER while I was here in the States. The local hospital was pretty small, but local and well equiped with specialist scanning gear. I was seen immediately for a fairly minor muscle injury. All done and dusted within an hour. Communication was superb all the way through and I was seen by a general doc and a specialist in that time.

Follow-up physio was quick (first appointment the next day), hassle-free, bureaucracy-free, with no waits.

No doubt I was lucky, but the speed of care and level of attention was streets ahead of anything I've experienced at home. Our system is fecked. Chronically underfunded and overcrowded and not helped (from the patient's perspective) by the formation of 'super' hospitals.

I snapped my neck last year and NHS saved me so I cant thank them enough.

But soon as I left hospital, this is where I see the system struggles! I had a water infection and went to see the doctor a few months back and its a 6 month waiting list to see a urologist. Plus seeing OT's ect seem to be a age.

But the nhs emergency team in Morriston and Heath were amazing.
