My dashboard is today showing a symbol of a 'car with a spanner'. Handbook suggests something electrical, but ok to drive. Anyone come across this?

Last winter I saw a symbol on my dashboard light up that I hadn't seen before. It looked a bit like an asterisk. I was worried. Someone told me it was a snowflake. It wasn't snowing so I presumed it was referring to the driver.
