He s got the best machinery and without it,he wouldnt have been so successful However ,he has been given the best car as he must be the best driver around.
Fangio won 5 and with different cars.
Rossi won GP s with different bikes that were nowhere near the best. The man was a genious and transcended the sport. He is still active in a very dangerous sport. IMO,the greatest motor sportsman of them all. Not for nothing is he known as the Doctor.
Mauger was the first Spedway rider to 6 titles which has only been matched.His bikes were exactly the same as others in capacity and output but his engineering nous and skill set him apart . It wont be beaten ,like the 5 TdF titles.It s as far as a man can go | |

Not knocking Hamilton, his records or his achievements which are immense but I do believe the standard of competition has dropped since Schumacher was in his pomp. It’s just a procession now, there’s hardly any overtaking, no risks. When you think back to those epic moments where someone like Senna and Mansell would be giving it their all and sparks would be flying everywhere, you just don’t get that now.
Obviously on the plus side hardly anyone gets killed or seriously injured anymore but the sport is just boring now. |  |

Messi is Argentina’s all time record goal scorer. He’s got them to a World Cup final which is more than Portugal ever did. To say he’s done nothing in international football is bonkers. Argentina’s problem has always been mad drug addled managers like Maradona and second rate defenders and wildly erratic goalkeepers. They’ve had brilliant strikers and attacking players but not much else. | |

Performances in the Champions League outstrip those at International level IMO. International football hasn't been the pinnacle since the advent of the ECL. |  |
