| Routledge / Lowe on 14:46 - Mar 10 with 1123 views | onehunglow | Not funny Guv unless you want to see us amuse the rest of the promotion challengers. Routledge is not the answer. He wasn't 4 years ago.He isn't now. If a 36 yr old is our option then we truly have plummeted in standards. Im not sure Id watch if he was selected frankly as Whittaker would be seriously insulted by that selection. It is entirely possible we could fall away when luck deserts ,as it will and Steve will cop it-at least from me he will. We will never have a better chance to go back up than this season and we look like we could screw it up . That will be totally down to Steve and is selection, tactics, man management and recruitment. Why bring in players and not select them. | |

why not Whitaker then. Is routledge seriously a greater goal threat. Routledge was often subbed with good reason.

I just don't think he will play Whittaker at present.
| Routledge / Lowe on 14:53 - Mar 10 with 1115 views | Badlands | I have a feeling Routs is being prepped to take on Ayew's role if he has to self isolate after the internationals. Completely different style but will have freedom to roam. Luton ... time to change the predictable wing back system Hamer (not sure about Hamer but Woodman's confidence seems nonexistent. Freeman ...... Cabagngo ...... Bennett ..... Manning Roberts ............. Fulton ........... Hourihane .......Smith ..... Ayew .................Whittacker | |

I agree Richy, I'd play the boy myself but I just can't see it personally from Cooper.

Bloody hell we would get absolutely destroyed with that midfield.

I think that midfield would do ok....We need Fulton and Smith and one or other of Grimes or Houirhane

I don’t understand that argument about Hourihane or Grimes they are completely different players. Grimes is a very, very good defensive midfielder at this level and that’s not Hourihanes bag at all. How many interceptions, tackles and blocks does Hourihane make? The only similarity is they are both ultra left footed

It's about opinions innit which is why we ,I see WE must guard against happy clappers trying to kid others. We have an amazing chance -looking at where we are-to get back to the Promised Land. Some do not want it. I DO,desperately.I believe we belong there. If it' good enough for Burnley and Brighton it's good enough for us. I do not want us to lose out as we will never have such a good chance. Apart from Norwich no team is much cop and next year will be ,I think, much harder.

Out of interest is that the only goal (he is only just starting out) he has ever scored in senior football ?

Just seen on wiki he scored 1 in 25 for Derby but nearly all sub appearances.

Cooper will go,for it, strongest eleven in his opinion for the next three games before giving them all a day off 😉 More chance of beating Bournemouth than Luton for me, the derby game is anyone’s. I read they are already prepping their excuses mind.

This 100% he's a wiley old character is Routs, still clever and a bit slower, harsh on young Whittaker though in my opinion, but Lowe is definitely in need of break, he's lost his way.

Guv. I like the cut of you jib but you hope he does. He will stay true to his stubborn streak and no doubt continue to pick an out of form Lowe and start Routledge instead.A 36 yr old midfield/winger/utility player who is seeing his career out, rather than a lad who will be busting a gut to get his career going. He will also select our appalling goalkeeper who is and has costed us goals and no doubt involve Hourihane - a lovely chap no doubt but one rather lacking in sweat . I hope Im wrong but I see us losing this possibly a la Huddersfield who were given no chance against us at the first game. Anyway

I would drop Hourihane. Grimes Fulton and Smith in the middle. If Bennett is 100% fit then include him, probably for Naughton. Also I think Wayne is still a great option late on. One thing you know when the ball goes to him it sticks. He gives others time to reset and get forward rather than being on the back foot when the ball keeps coming back as it is at present.

That jl post is where I see it. Would prefer Routledge not to come on at all but I see what he can do a regards ball retention. We need to up the tempo -simple as that and Steve needs to ensure the freshest players are able to do that and that means using the squad more.

| Routledge / Lowe on 12:08 - Mar 11 with 761 views | LittleEnglandJack | It says a lot about Lowe's current form that I genuinely would, I think, prefer to start a 36 year old Wayne Routledge over him. At least Routledge has decent ball control, a facet of Lowe's game which seems to have completely deserted him in the past month. I'd obviously prefer Whittaker was given a chance ahead of Wayne, but I think we all know Cooper isn't going to do that. | | | |
| Routledge / Lowe on 12:25 - Mar 11 with 747 views | 9MilesHigh | My big prediction if Guehi is out....... Is Cooper will play 4 at the back!! ***************** Freddie ****************** Roberts ***** Cabango **** Bennett ***** Bidwell Lowe **** Smith *** Matty *** Jay **** Manning ****************** Ayew ******************* Or variations of Lowe/Routs/Whitts/Arriola (hahaha) on the right Manning/Oli Cooper/Hourihane (God forbid) on the left edited to add Oli Cooper into the mix [Post edited 11 Mar 2021 12:27]
