I love the analogy and the fact is Cooper is very much a new build home. The snagging is still very much a work in progress, the walls don't hold up anything of substance, the front and back doors aren't really safe and in a good storm the roof might just come off. Even the nice new combi boiler is faulty and often the hot water tap runs cold. We need to get the builders backin to shore up the foundations too, there's been subsidence! It's going to be expensive but I think the housebuilder is pleading poverty and we need to start hoping for a takeover!

Sean Dyche may come across as a terraced house with a warm smoking chimney, but he too has grafted hard because he owns fifteen hundred of them, all paid for. Everton are also looking at David Moyes, fully refurbished, lovely bright new outlook and sunny position. Spurs have made no decisions on their vacancy, but look far more interested in a villa abroad, possibly Italy or Belgium, sadly the traffic lights aren’t hinting green or red on this one, just amber. Let’s not forget Graeme Potter at Brighton, he has a few boxes packed but doesn’t know where he wants to go, if anywhere. Currently residing by the sea, his apartment, fully furnished too is increasing in value daily. West Bromwich Albion are in the market and would maybe fancy a more modern three bed in Cooper, but Potter wouldn’t be interested in a job back in the Championship. However, maybe Cooper would ? More money, bigger salary and more chance of success you would think than at his current rental with balcony in SA1. It doesn’t end there, there are a few clubs who haven’t made their minds up on their own managers futures as yet. The merry go round is slowing but will most certainly speed up over the coming days.

First though is to clear the house

Who on Earth would want that sort of football at their club, week in week out? Yes I'm aware teams like Burnley are successful playing unattractive football, but they play that way effectively, create lots of chances and do well enough.

Or if they want the cheap option. I’m sure the compo (it’ll be nowhere near 4m) and his salary will still leave them quids in compared to the others. This ‘value for money’ idea if it takes hold will turn them totally delusional about what they are getting. They will talk themselves into he’s Pep 2, because they’ll want to justify and believe it. G’wan Palace. G’wan, g’wan, g’wan. Do it.
