As we know from day to day with all manner of things to be discussed that isn’t going to happen. The swans are hard at work doing their best to get in the players manager Steve Cooper wants, and that hard work is continuing. 0 Follow us on a Insta ! https://www.instagram.com/swan

Is the loan signing MGW to bring back the creativity? We have Fulton and Smith, the latter is admittedly not going to tear up many trees but he's fairly solid and reliable. Those 2 with Walsh makes a creative midfielder quite a necessity.

Time we should simply shove off from social media and football gossip until the new season starts and see what we have.

Is Liam Walsh capable of replacing Matt Grimes ? 8th Jul 2021 14:46It was with little surprise that the swans announced another signing this morning, that of Liam Walsh on a free transfer. The ex Bristol City player who has had loans at Birmingham, Coventry and Yeovil has battled through numerous stumbling blocks since he left Everton in 2016, having been there since he was five years of age. It has been a tough time for Walsh. 0

I'm not sure if I'd peg MGW as a playmaker type, although that's based on the limited time we saw of him last season. I'd class him more as a "Pratley plus". Someone with pace, power and the capability of breaking the lines that we simply did not have last season. More capable on the ball than DP was though hence the plus part.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

They therefore must go and sooner the better.

He certainly got our wingbacks going forward. Would love to have him back. In the limited time I saw him I thought his only fault was he wasn’t greedy enough, should have shot more.

Back on topic as this thread is about Grimes and finding a better DCM to potentially fill the biggest boots we have on our books. Bannan is a very decent shout, though Grimes totally bossed him in their most recent duel. Yet we need far more athleticism than Bannan to match Grimes' massive extra-man work rate and positional nous. How on earth did this get so derailed ? We truly have some beauts. One of the most naturally gifted AMs we have seen(MGW) is now deemed a Pratley and did ok at bringing our WBs into play. Some folk should stick to the non-football board. Let's hope Grimes stays and gets us promoted should we sign a decent AM (like MGW) to drive us forward and be the playmaker we have yearned. .
