Steak house place at the end of Town just after the Arcade is nice food, can't think of the name now. Rayn's will know if he reads this, Grape and Olive over the Marina is ok, worth it for the view at least.

Thanks Max Been to the grape & olive a few times it’s a Brains pub (or at least was) the menu is the same as the pub 500 metres from my house, so that’s a no go. I’ll see if anyone offers any suggestions on this thread, staying in Morgan’s so preferably close to there.

I thought it was always Brains although Brains have now sold all their pubs to Marstons. Morgan’s wasn’t booked by me. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I think Eleos shut a long time ago. Trundle was involved in a bar/restaurant in its place for a while. Bistrot Pierre in Mumbles is a chain, but feels authentic. Never had bad food or service in there.

Great views too Where La Parilla used to be is another restaurant which I can't remember the name, supposedly good River House, Kings Road SA1 There are loads of good eateries in and around the marina mate, depends on your tastes...don't forget to visit The Swigg, I believe they do tapas

All of the above. The Queens was excellent for proper pub grub but Pescador is probably the best of te bunch and you never know who might roll up there. Did enjoy the two course meal in El Fuego mind. Supposed to be Spanish but a spice twist (owned by Indians (Ithink)

Bouchon is my favourite, and Madeira is also good. I'm taking my mother to lunch today in the Plough and Harrow in Murton. Never been before but apparently it's been voted the best gastropub in Wales. Anyonr tried it?

May be wrong, but I’d guess it’s independent. Michael Knight (not that one) is pretty much a celebrity chef. Can’t see him being told what to serve.
