We’ve heard a lot about his frailties, but where do you see his positives, what is it that gives you some hope ?

His desire to play a certain way but young enough to be adaptable, still learning. Perfect combination for us.

He really believes in what he's trying to do and it seems the players have bought into it too.

He wants us all to enjoy it or, in his own words "what's the point"? It should be enjoyable, I like it.

The style of football, when we are there, properly there, it will be a massive upgrade, a total positive. If he can deliver that it should quieten even the noisiest critic.

Assuming we get there, I live in hope. I want my son to expereince the thrill of promotion, even if I hate the Premier league!

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

He is trying to play football. Proper football.
When he gets the right players just watch us go.
Reminds me of the Dutch coaches of years ago.

.

He has a laser focus on a broad vision which fits well with our playing heritage.

It looks like he's beginning to learn from his mistakes, to find the winning formula.

He's shown he can adapt to a more pragmatic Plan B.

He's shown tolerance in listening to his senior players to find the most appropriate Plan B, in-game management and tactical substitutions.

He's shown humility in admitting he got it so very wrong with Piroe, and apologised.

He's a natural PR machine, controls the pressers with aplomb.

An air of confidence and arrogance which rubs off well on the players.

The hope is that he leverages the very best bits to play an attractive, winning brand we can all be proud of.

It “appears” he is willing to compromise on the style he first wanted to bring to us. That’s been the major plus for me. The football he brought here was ludicrously stupid, I’m not over egging that either, just brainless stuff.

What we have shown since is that there can be a happy medium between possession football and effective football, something MK Dons fans also wanted to see.

I said it a few weeks ago but will say it again. I think he has learned more in his 14 matches here than his 18 months at MK Dons. He was not able to get away with the stuff he did at MK Dons here, the level is too good and will be punished immediately.

So his ability to learn, his willingness to listen - while still commanding the respect of the players. I imagine he’s a good person to have in the dressing room.

That’s my hope for him going forward, he continues to develop and learn and not let ego suck us back into the style of play at the start. That would be very Garry Monk-esque if he did.

For me he has gradually changed the style of play and explained in a very open way how that is working. Plus to see it coming to fruition with players, some of whom have been around a bit is extremely pleasing. We now know we will dominate teams, and the intention isn’t to be negative with the ball but to be positive and try and win every game.

We know we will dominate possession, important to note the difference between dominating the ball and dominating the game/opposition.

We have regularly done the former but rarely done the latter. That is the issue I think Martin will run into, believing they are one and the same.

For me, he has got footballers being that.... Footballers.

The players are a million times better at passing, moving... They seem more comfortable looking for the ball and receiving it there is a calmness.

All these things have gone missing for the last few years and for footballers that should never be the case.

The philosophy and mentality are the huge positives and the hope is back.

Footballers aren't one specific thing.

A footballers job is to win a game of football at the end of the day. If he can get our footballers doing that then he won't go far wrong.

Too few and far between at the moment.

Piroe, Pato and Downes are his positives. All allow this switch in play from a reliable grafter in Downes, Pato who can make a difference from either half of the pitch and Piroe who’s a natural ‘stay up there’ striker. Ntcham for me is like a specialist to come off the bench at the moment, but interestingly has been spotted at private fitness sessions this week.

Martin passing stats are improved and success depends on accuracy of passing. For me this is a minimum requirement. Swansea city must pass accurately and be able to control the ball instantly. The first Birmingham goal was a mis-controlled by Liard who should have let is go into touch if it was beyond him. .

Brentford under a Danish coach out gunned Swansea comprehensively last season by more accurate passing and finishing. Such football is ingrained in kids in Denmark and Croatia for example.
