History is just that , with the advance in technology and science such as DNA then imo there's no reason to bring capital punishment back into the statute book. | |

We'll hear a lot but that doesn't mean we shouldn't have the death penalty for certain crimes. With modern methods, DNA, CCTV we should be able to prove beyond all doubt if someone is guilty. Then we need to make punishments for fitting people up really harsh too, that includes the police, if a corrupt officer fits someone up they should do 20 years.
The police are only human too mind. Mistakes can be made but ther need to be strong checks and balances. | |

The Alterbative to the death penalty was to be Life .
It was the reason the Abolition bill was passed.
It would not have been passed had the alternative been seeing killers released after a relatively short time.
