It’s not lacking but limited.
I have a decent light baritone but not much of a range .
I can interpret a song ok .Rock singing needs power and I lack that

You must have a good range .
Angels in the original key is not easy for most untrained singers,as is the case with Life on Mars.Bowie had a massive range and that is another hard song especially before the instrumental part.
