| Viewers spot TV commentator singing abusive anti Tory song 17:47 - Dec 24 with 1572 views | NotLoyal | Liverpool fans were voicing their displeasure against the current government, and a Dutch commentator couldn’t help but join in with the chant that you wouldn’t expect to be heard or repeated live on TV. It was something which went viral across social media, however some questioned what the expression would mean to potentially bemused viewers tuning into the match back in the Netherlands. When 2-0 down, Leicester fans could be heard singing “Feed the Scousers”, taunting them as Brendan Rodgers’ side looked comfortable at the time thanks to Jamie Vardy’s double after 13 minutes. Reaction. @Nick_Pettigrew: DWP figures in March 2021 showed that Leicester had one of the highest rates of child poverty in the country. Leicester City fans might want to spend more time fighting the govt who caused that, like Liverpool fans always have, and less time chanting ‘Feed the Scousers’ at them. @SunScum: Feed the scousers? Absolutely we will and we’ll feed the Mancs and Newcastle, West Ham and every under previlleged people in every city or town in the country because hunger has no borders or colours. It could be any one of us at any point in our life.

Leicester no place to assume it is in any way better as any visit to Leicester will prove.

Not sure why the animosity towards Liverpudlians, in the 60s loads visited Swansea or went to college here and stayed. Two proper old working class port towns.

Me too but the previous incarnation of this site had and still has scouse hating in its blood. Ie,bin dippers …the most. Offensive pejorative At least ,scousers seem to unite in times of hardship. I’ve met some horrendous ones but mainly the most generous I’ve met. Many visitors comment as to its impossible to be in a Liverpool pub without someone wanting to talk to you …or heat butt you. It’s that kind of place, like some in Swansea and that s a compliment Lifelong

Indeed. Now let’s see Liverpool people seen as better than thieving scumbags as they are often portrayed.

In fairness Rich, it was one particular guy who seemed to hate Liverpool and that was more to do with his relationship with you. I'm not sure anyone has any issues with Liverpool as it is probably the "Welshest" of all English cities. The others who made swipes at Liverpool probably did it to antagonise you as a reaction to your downer on your former homeland. Maybe. Then again maybe they do actually dislike like the place but I have no idea why. Nadolig Llawen

Starmer is an aberration- Corbyn might not have been working class either but at least he had the interests of the whole of society at heart. A good programme of re-nationalisation of the utilities and railways and much more support for our struggling NHS. Judging by the tone of your answer you’re quite happy with the conservatives though - thoroughly public schooled and privileged. It’s the type of political schizophrenia I’ve come to expect these days.
