Can’t imagine walking to a derby game yards away from rival fans with one jagged police line in between.

Got to feel sorry for the police in that twitter feed. Caught between 2 sets of hoodlums, anyone could have knifed them in the back, hit them to the ground and beat ten bells out of them. Terrible situation to be caught in.

Poor planning by the police.

Needs more police like Simon Jordan just said in TS, they get paid huge amounts to be there.
Underfunded police service ( not really a force anymore us it) and a feral society who are now more divisive than ever due to the politics of the last 5 years. Honestly it was a bit of a laugh 30 years ago and maybe you could argue there wasn’t so much for 20 year olds to do back in the mid 80’s, but seeing grown men in there 40’s or 50’s with the feral young dressed up in their chavvy black outfits is just sad.

Posing posturing. Injuries zero deaths zero. One guy was decked but is 'fine' now. Snarling dogs. Swans fans guilty of encouraging this (even the manager) with the swim away nonsense,

They seriously provoked a reaction that day. It could have been 1979 in the fa cup, I’m uncertain, the police thought it was hilarious that the home fans could get in to the away end and blind side normal fans from behind. I’m sure certain fans in here recall it well, and indeed others. As the tables turned the police decided to be the police. I even saw one copper slapping the back of one skinhead chap and exchanging a handshake. We went straight for him ( the copper ) . Ooooh, I’m angry now 😂
All the best folks 👍

Are you sure you aren't a parody account?

Parody -- "an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect".

I do parody sometimes to get my message across.

South Wales being a strong hold of socialists with a dash of Plaid Cymru should be naturally averse to funding lawyers and Insurance people of South east England (people I call the English ruling elite) to the tune of several millions.

I suggested that Samantha and Rupert who have a great time at Ascot with their SCST funded bonuses. The members at least should know how much their services cost. This is democracy.

Posters on here and indeed Swansea city players and manager seem to revel in the type of argie bargey seen in London with their nostalgic review of the argie bargie at Port Talbot beach.

This happened Bristol away this year, similar scenes. Except fans actually were hitting eachother as there was only a handful of police.

Seen bigger scuffles in my nans bingo

Out of that 70-80 or so people in that footage only about 10 would actually do anything the Police should just step aside for a few minutes because as with most football trouble its over in a couple of minutes and to keep fighting longer takes a lot of effort and will tire you very quickly and by looking at that lot just a load of meh!

I would be more worried about Tottenham as an area and not just the football fans I went there in the early 90's for that FA cup game that was an eye opening getting lost around that council estate and then again me and my missus went the 3rd year in the premiership we hung around for some food after the game and you could feel the whole area changing it's mood as it got darker.

Was there as well. I remember looking at the pitch with 10 mins to go...next time I looked the game had finished. Mental day that....

Edit: For those not there...it was a seething, swaying battle..them and us...in between was a line of coppers...unreal really.

Samantha and Rupert from Macquarie Bank Limited? Living it up in Ascot on the fees the club is now paying them to release the funds from a dreadfully negotiated Rodon transfer. That will be them.

Without doubt Tottenham is a rough part of London.

All London clubs hate them.

There is still loads of trouble in many of the London derbies. The authorities & news media seem intent on keeping it low key from a reporting perspective. A simple YouTube search will show what big operations are put in place to avoid clashes, it’s a bigger problem than many people are aware of

I despise ALL London clubs but possibly West Ham more. Something about the cockney cheeky boy warlocks that grips my faeces.
They are THE most entitled.

No doubt Spurs get it due to Jewish owners and history..

Broadwater farm isn’t it? They had a huge turnout for us when we went there early 2000’s in a cup game. It was a bit millwall esq in the fact people were hanging out of windows and shouting abuse at our escort, about 300 of us that the met shadowed as soon as we landed in London.

I believe so, as we came out after the game the Spurs fans charged at us with the Police quickly behind splitting up the main group up which meant a load of us heading off on the verge of that estate. That night was like The Warriors film trying to get back to Marble Arch to meet our coach bumping into all kinds of locals and not so locals

I’ve had a few of those warrior type moments with the locals wanting us to come out and play….allover London you can just find yourself in a dodgy estate out of the blue. Even by qpr’s ground there’s a rough one.
