| Better on 20:07 - Jan 8 with 1434 views | Brynmill_Jack | He didn’t play well but he’s had a month out FFS. We could have at least forced penalties but it wasn’t to be. I’m far happier than I was watching during the first 30 minutes. There are positives but some players really didn’t do themselves any favours. | |

| Better on 20:26 - Jan 8 with 1401 views | Ajack_Kerouac | It doesn't help Bennett when his manager engineers it so he is on the right hand side of a 3 which includes a full-back and a midfielder. Martin is clueless and he has destroyed any team spirit we had. | |

Are you serious couldn't do basics, giving wrong options, getting caught, ball watching leaving players drift in behind ,looks like he's pulling a hgv when he's running, seen the milk turn quicker,...month out got nothing do with it..that makes your footballing brain useless then does it?

Bennett is a solid centre-half who proved himself more than capable at this level under Cooper. He doesn't have much pace. Any decent football manager would partner him with a centre-half with some pace and play a nippy defensive midfielder prepared to drop back and cover when required... OR in a 3 man defence, play 2 centre halves and 1 player with pace to cover. Martin is a cretin.

| Better on 11:22 - Jan 9 with 1238 views | AndyCole | . If utilised correctly would be the rock in our spine behind Grimes. Clueless. Mis-management Martin. As an ex defender, Martin should be truly embarrassed with our comedically poor defending and most especially for the way in which he's ripped up and destroyed one of our core strengths. Along with our hwyl and pashun. . . | |

A month out? Has he been sick or injured then? I've not paid much attention this last 3 weeks. Otherwise, Bennet, like all the others hasn't played a competitive match for a month but has still been training with the others (when they were allowed) so should have been pretty fresh and fit. I'm afraid he's not good enough, he isn't the only one. This window that is so important to us has so far had little movement for us. I thought we had deals lined up, I thought talks had been happening so I have to ask, what's going on?

| Better on 12:35 - Jan 9 with 1210 views | jack_lord | Bennett is playing out of his natural position when he is at the tail end of his career when he is slowing down. He has been booked a few time for exactly the same foul due to being skinned when hi is out of position and out of pace. I believe he is a good defender and reads the game well but his decision making has been bizarre recently. Southampton made our formation look like we were a lower league team until their defender was sent off and even then, when their ten players should have been dead on their feet, skinned our players in extra time. | |

That is the big problem, isn't it, Bennett is sowing down and we can't play our football with slow players. We leave too much room at the back and the lack of pace up front means we can't break teams down with our one paced movement.

| Better on 13:04 - Jan 9 with 1194 views | onehunglow | Some realistic posts here and its a relief to see some honesty. Look at how Bennett has been destroyed I reckon yoing Whittaker must have had a few words to ay to Martin which saw him binned.Same with Fulton,a good player told he was not in his plans after a month in charge. | |

It is the primary reason Brentford beat us at Wembley and is getting more obvious.

| Better on 15:36 - Jan 9 with 1161 views | A_Fans_Dad | The problems are also starting to manifest themselves as loss of confidence in some of the players. Even Laird stopped attacking full backs, players not prepared to play the tricky through balls and when they do they pass straight to a defender instead. I have a question I fogot last night, why was Walsh taking set pieces? | | | |

The club is aware of its set piece woes. Grimes is actually improving a little. Both Greenwood and Doyle are set piece specialists.

Wouldn't play either of them ,either..we need pace at back as we are too square and slow
