Fulham are the visitors a club who will almost certainly hit over one hundred goals this season, and are favourites to return to the premier league. 0 If you want to remove this post from the board index, just click the hide post icon below. | Russell Martin : Nobody expects anything from us tonight on 10:25 - Mar 8 with 527 views | Catullus | Nobody outside the building expects......hold up....I expect something. Im not saying I expect a win but maybe a draw. I also expect effort and intensity for loner than 45 minutes. One of our big problems has been taking our foot off the gas, we either start slow or finish slow and we need to do better. The game lasts for 90 minutes and we need to be up to pace for the vast majority, not just 50%. Obviously most teams have a lull, a poor patch or a slow down when the oppo come back into it, even the best teams have that. So what I really want is a performance, lose or draw I want to see us giving them a hard game. We can't simply roll over and say it was Fulham. This could be a very good barometer of where we are at as a team. Having taken this step forward again, I don't want to see us take 2 steps back and have another string of poor results.

| Russell Martin : Nobody expects anything from us tonight on 10:32 - Mar 8 with 521 views | vetchonian | Given how we went "toe to toe" with Fulham up there we should expect something here. Yes Fulham are streets ahead but that doesnt mean we shouldnt give them a game and like others I woud settle for a draw. We need a performance tonight to follow up on hte last two games, yes we will be missing the likes of Christie, WOlf ppossibly Smith but this is what being a manager is all about...adapting and utilsing the reosurces available to you to best advantage. Maybe we need a flat back four tonight with Cabango and Bennet to Marshall Mitrovic Naughtin and Maaning at fullback maybe Downes sweeping behind or sitting in front of Ben and Bennett. | |

| Russell Martin : Nobody expects anything from us tonight on 10:33 - Mar 8 with 517 views | Dr_Parnassus | Fulham $1.82 on the exchange giving them a 55% chance of winning. 45% we get something from the game. Seems strange to completely write us off, we are certainly good enough to get something from it at home. I can see a draw if we play the mixed style of football we get so much success with. If we revert to short at all costs then we may get battered. So hopefully lessons learned and we go into this with more than a fighting chance. Result not too important to me in this one though, I just want a well thought out and sensible performance giving us the best chance of fighting for something. If we lose doing that, we lose. We move on. | |

Martin actually sounds pragmatic but hopeful of a good effort. Which is what we all want to see, including with his selections and tactics.

I remember being at The Liberty when this Serb was sent off after about 15 mins. Ut was quite comical as he seemed to simply want to fight everyone ,including himself. He has matured into a superb all round striker and one to be feared. That said,Ben is a big lad and tonight is great chance for him to really front up. One thing is certain,if we don’t ,it ll be a long evening [Post edited 8 Mar 2022 16:28]
