They previously got away with it when Barry Horne scored a collector's item of a goal helping them to win on the last day to stay up, Horne hardly ever scored, on the extremely rare occasion he did it happened to be an important goal.

| Which 6 clubs on 11:48 - Apr 7 with 1158 views | raynor94 | Everton are in hell of a mess, committed to a new £500 million stadium, have broken FFP, and now staring relegation in the face.. Coming down would be a disaster | |

| Which 6 clubs on 11:48 - Apr 7 with 1158 views | trampie | Horne scored in the last minute to knock Portuguese giants Porto out of Europe for lowly Wrexham one year. I might be wrong but I've got it in my head that Horne scored Everton's first ever Premier League goal, for a guy that virtually never scored it's amazing the odd goal he did score were important ones. | |

The last time I was there was in Tosh's time as manager and the away terracing behind the goal was so deep that you had a terrible view, a worms eye view, I think Swans lost 3-0 on that day. I would have imagined that Goodison was seen as one of the best grounds in England at one time, they were going to play the World Cup semi final there in 66 but changed it to Wembley at the last minute as they thought that it would have been like a home game for Portugal who was based up there and away game for England who had spent their time in North London so they switched it last minute fearing England would lose but it must have been seen as one of the best grounds at the time to have been allocated that match. I think Everton will have enough to get them out of the mire but that’s based on a hunch not looking at their remaining fixtures or current form, which suggest otherwise.

Burnley would have more chance of returning than Everton for me, listened to the radio tonight they would lose 14 players due to relegation clauses if they came down.

What happened to sigurdsson? They are a right mess with a tough run in. You get the feeling Burnley will be loving the fortune that has come their way

I like it. Friendly folk. Fish and chips from the window of someone's living room. Interesting football stuff in the old church. Easy to get to. Concourses are tiny though.

I visited there in 2019 and sat in the home stand on the side of the pitch. Like something out of those old newsreels they used to show in the cinema. All that was missing was rattles.

Martin's current team is a mid table Championship team. His old side is at best going to compete in the playoffs for the division below. I think that tells you something about which is the better side ?

| Which 6 clubs on 08:40 - Apr 8 with 728 views | STID2017 | Depending who comes down and comes up, Burnley, Brentford, Norwich, Sunderland and MK Don's would be new grounds for me. Personally i think it will be : Everton Watford Norwich Wigan Rotherham Sunderland. So just two new grounds there | |
