I warned a few months back. Bleeding bloody obvious common sense innit!!!!! The equation being i.e. *too many people with not enough houses ='s no where to put em*..... Too complicated for some just like other maths e.g. "do not try to pour a pint into an half pint glass". The fact that Manston processing centre now has a reported 4,000 people crammed within its walls is extremely serious because it is only meant to hold 1,000. In fact it had been reported in recent hours that tents are now being errected because of the bed/living space shortage crisis. Most newspapers and BBC are calling it a crisis! Lack of social housing type of fingy that was affecting U.K citizens even before migrants started hot footing it out of Albainia by the thousand upon thousands? Some M.P’s are demanding more hotels to be comandeered. And even if more hotels are commandeered that’ll surely impact on the tourism sector? Is the government seriously going to forfeit the U.K tourist industry to accommodate illegal entry into the U.K? It's like a black comedy. Surreal. More holiday hotel availabity? What a deterrent? That'll really discourage people wont it? Politicians and common sense hey!

Thats a lot! What also get’s to me is the way the catastrophic situation has sent out a message out to the entire world that the U.K has become THE ultimate open door and safe-haven for any terrorist sleeper cell, on-the-run murderer, fugitive, foreign bail-absconder, narco-state drug gang member, smuggler and wrong un to enter. A case of throw your I.D and passport overboard, create a new false identity, escape justice, infiltrate or set up a foreign county lines gang or other criminal enterprise in the U.K. And if people can get on shore so can drugs, high grade military explosives and guns etc. Just toooooo easy! It’s absolutely sickening and the repercussions of are absolutely frightening! And insanity rules because many do not have any common sense or concern whatsoever to catastrophic problems that lie ahead in the future. Like I said previoulsy the serious concerns of the (bunch of gammons?) U.K Border Force union, police, SOCA and military intellgence backs my opinion(s) up!

Doesn’t surprise me one bit. I reckon that by the time things like medical care and all the other little bits are added on it’s higher than that!! I suspect that like many of our public services the Border Force is under performing. Efficient and effective services cost money and on the back of austerity, cuts, political shenanigans and incompetence I don’t think any of us should be surprised the Border Force isn’t doing a great job! We’re getting the spin, but not the substance. Building an effective Border Force takes time and money, if they can’t staff the passport gates at Heathrow how on Earth are they going stop and then deport thousands of illegal immigrants? It’s not going to happen unless there huge investment and we’re skint. We need some tough action. We've got thousands of Albanians entering the country, a considerable number of which will be trafficked in to organised crime. Albania is a democratic country and seeking to join the EU, how are they hoping to get asylum!

At least we are in a society where we can challenge our sometimes useless leaders and laugh at them , we have that right thankfully . some do not have that option . Looks like another drama in Westminster unfolding .

When you see the size of money awarded in contracts to companies involved in “managing” the problem then for some the more that come the more money there is to be made ,

It seems quite amazing that someone in such a position, one of immense importance to the country. Can be someone who has been leaking confidential information. I struggle to even see how she can remain an MP let alone Home Secretary. In my opinion it definitely seems as if she has a bit of a hold on a number of them, i wonder what she knows that is clearly so important.

Nothing said about the Ukranian economic refugees though. No need for them to come here, they should stay in the majority of the country that hasn't been touched by war

Decades ago S.O.E used to use far more sophisticated menthods to go in completely the opposite direction to get into Europe during WW2. Even IRA Chief of Staff and South Armagh Brigade leader i.e. "Thomas Slab Murphy" used devious methods to get into Europe to meet 'officials' from Libya to organise arms shipments, ditto murderous overseas IRA gangs on the hunt for U.K military personel. How much easier it would have been for them all if they all could have just hopped aboard onto a dingy? I guess ISIS have noticed this just like myself? Because if I've noticed it? ISIS certainly has?

Aye, but get this one.....i.e. Brave Afghans (U.K would know their I.D and they'd happily provide it anyhow) that risked their lives to serve and help brave British military personel were not even welcome! But others who have done ziltch for the U.K and blatantly threw their I.D into the sea are! FFS! And to make it even worse and even more intelligence insulting is the fact that British soldiers died, got terribly injured, suffered P.T.S.D to help protect this country and protect its borders from evil outsiders......When?......The U.K has been turned into THE ultimate terrorists/criminals safe haven, logistical hub,'safe-house' and wet dream! Thrown-away I.D, passports and proof of identity? No problem, your hotel room key is on the reception desk!

Quite right. Although the rising numbers of course have an impact on cost, it's not the complete reason: A lack of coherant policy, what now looks like pointless austerity between 2010 and 2019, and Brexit have brought us to here.
