I would have preferred he's a proven goal scorer and with the same attitude he can flourish with us.

Martin it seems to me has changed his mind on those he did not like too much when he arrived. Benda, Piroe and Fulton are examples. Cabango has worked himself into the team ahead of Martin's man Darling on form grounds. Manning and Latibeaudiere were not used by Cooper but key favourites for Martin. Sorinla was an illogical signing as he does not seem to have the 'athleticism and experience" Martin was looking for 12 month ago and still is. The has changed his mid negatively on Obafemi and Patterson. Bennett was never in favour at Swansea and is not in favour anywhere near the Championship and turned up in football hotbed Cambridge. some player decline faster than other with age perhaps. I think if Ogbene comes he will be as a wing back not a forward and Swansea might be looking for another forward to replace Obafemi.

I don't think he has given up on wing backs yet. I hope I am wrong. I think Whittaker could be Obafemi's replacement if things go well. Not a direct replacement this season but we will possibly struggle to bring in another striker for what we are willing to pay. Unless we can loan one but our loan signings aren't going that well so we may struggle there too. Better to sign 2-3 players properly and reap our own benefits then loan players, in my opinion.
