I'll start off with a brief comment. I'll pick up on the comment about trust and confidence being lost. Just speaking for myself but that hasn't been there from day 1 as they ignored the 21% owners from any discussions when buying the club shares. Trust and confidence needs to be earned, I've seen very little to change my mind. [Post edited 1 Feb 2023 18:35]

| Swansea City never intended to spend anything on transfers this January - But wh on 18:57 - Feb 1 with 1166 views | PawelAbbott | If the owners are seriously looking to sell up or sell part to new investors, then why would they look to bring players in during the window? From a purely business point of view, then any money they spent would be money wasted from their point of view. They wouldn't recoup it in the sale price. If they were looking beyond the next 6 months then investment in players that will turn a profit would be a sensible business plan. If they are looking shorter than that then no point spending any money. It could suggest that they believe that they will be selling up pretty soon. | | | |

but since 2016 not if any New money put in and a load of codswollopbeen spouted By the C E O ,Mr Silverstein spoke with a forked tounge when saying the club would move towards bringing in guys to improve the side , for me they all should go they have not done anything to enhance the club, and what i am supprised about is why are they here? we are told no monies getting siphoned off no dividends so what on earth are they here for? They have done the same thing in most windows losing us Potter and Cooper, no intrest at all in enhansing the first team

Good and valid theory but we still have assets to sell and my belief is until we reach that level when theres nothing left to sell they'll stay .

Me and my lad just discussed that very point, 10 mins ago, I think its very probable. The thing is what have they got to offer to any potential buyer, they own the club, but little else.

They are here because they can't walk away from a multimillion pound asset and there's not a huge queue of buyers.

I'm not sure about Stitched up. If there are negotiations with potential buyers then they wouldn't necessarily say anything to club staff. That's Martin and his team including recruitment. They'd be expecting business as usual. Scouting and discussing targets. Only when it comes to the crunch of putting up the money would there then be issues.

Covid and general money tightening means trading is no longer profitable. Rangers probably only ever offered £1m for Whitaker. Swansea got a decent figure for Obafemi but have to wait for the money. The piggy bank is empty until the summer. Swansea were outbid for all players that moved even by Luton . Swansea lost Grant as part of the Chelsea fallout. The Trust could put £500k in if they were useful owners. Fans whinging should demand they invest. If the member demand it it will happen. Fans are good at spending other people's money. Martin has had two smacks in the face .Whitaker coming back and no new signings. Everyone rate Whitaker but no one wants to pay for him.

I'm wondering, if him and the other two have had a lovers tiff, its very unusual to have not heard from the talking horse for a while.

There is money to be made from buying young, quality players and then selling them at a profit. But, you have to speculate to accumulate. Without investing in a number of youngsters with potential then there is no production line of annual sales. We have done very well over the last few summers doing this. I am afraid though that the cupboard may well now be bare. We have Piroe and maybe Darling who could command a decent fee. Without that income from sales in the summer we could really struggle
