They are not the reason Russell Martin should spend any longer in Swansea than he needs to. We ask him to consider the real people' Either this is poorly worded or it's designed to create a them and us scenario. To suggest anyone who Questions RM is weak or shallow stinks. The evidence is clear for all those not to blind to see that he is not good enough for the job/or isn't learning quick enough. 2 wins in 15/16 with this squad is unacceptable. | Showdown talks this week for Russell Martin at Swansea City on 11:40 - Feb 6 with 2481 views | cadleigh | Russell Martin is the most divisive manager of Swansea City I can ever recall. Most the time, supporter opinion has been pretty consistent. The only ones in my memory who even come close are Monk and Cooper, and IMO Monk has been more criticised after he left than he was while he was here, and Cooper attracted fans, critics and a large number of people who didn't enjoy much of his football but were happy with the results. With Martin there's very little middle ground. And this will continue for years after he leaves, because at the rate things are going if he does go, it will be portrayed - rightly or wrongly - as due to a principled stand against the owners. Any criticism of his managerial style and ability will be shunted to one side in favour of a 'betrayal' narrative. I fervently hope that when the next manager comes in we can draw a line under this period, and shut down the Cooper Culture Wars while we are at it. There are decent Swans supporters on both sides of the pro and anti Martin divide, all real Jacks.

Possibly add Bob Bradley to that list and the great Laudrup who started like a steam train winning silver and glory and then just seemed to lose interest (not for the first time) resulting in Monk.

Monk was clearly devious whereas Laudrup lost interest . Bradley ,ok he was out of his death ,but he was sacked after performances not as bad as what we are seeing now . The support ,the personal support for Martin is unfathomable. I suggest the owners bite the bullet and replace him. Now that really is key.

I wonder who "the real people. " are in the comment "We ask him to consider the real people. "? And how can anybody read in a state of "non judgement", it is human nature to judge what other people do, say and write, otherwise what possible reason can you have to read/listen to them, unless you want to be brainwashed?

We don’t support abuse of any person, for or against any issue. There can’t be a them and us when opinions are divided but delivered without abuse. Ask Obafemi.

For someone who doesn’t even watch the Swans play, you’ve got a lot to say. And unsurprisingly almost all of it is nonsensical rubbish.

But not abusively. Real people make judgements and deliver their opinion without the need to receive the abuse Obafemi received or indeed some of the nonsense Martin received on social media this weekend. Probably best not to select the bits to suit and understand the point maybe ? Real people give real opinions without dropping to abuse if that helps.

| Showdown talks this week for Russell Martin at Swansea City on 12:58 - Feb 6 with 2167 views | Badlands | Laudrup had us in three competitions but had to deal with between 6 and 11 first team starters out with injury for weeks on end. Also a captain who wasn’t good enough stirring because he thought the players should be running marathons before training started. | |

Have to agree about Martin splitting opinion more than any other manager. I find it bizarre that some posters who obviously have a good knowledge of football stick up for the dour football & poor results that Martin served up. But it’s old down to opinion

Personally I would like the management and owners to unite and push the club forward. Expensive business sacking managers and who are we going to attract that improves us. If Russ feels he can carry on should be allowed to and review at the end of the season.

It has to come to a head Keith Then ,maybe we can move on. Russ is not the man ( my opinion ) but his replacement needs to be considered very carefully indeed. We are not yet safe for this season and the lower we go in the league the more the pressure will be apparent .

5 points off the top 6 12 ahead of the bottom 3. That 2nd paragraph says a lot about your mindset no disrespect intended. But you are bar none the most negative poster on here.

Relegation is not off the cards with current form over the last 15 or so games. I'm looking at the bottom more than the top.

Your last two paragraphs I’m afraid make the rest of what you posted simply disingenuous. Negativity isn’t somethin* that bothers me ,and it’s the same with those who accuse me of it. Frankly, anyone positive about our current plight is lying ,either to themselves or to others or both . We need a balance from the relentless daily “”support” of an utterly inept coach . The word negative is a get out and it’s used when people feel beaten in an argument. You know I M right about Martin and I was the first on here to see through him . That s a fact and not something that causes me any joy.

We are in relegation form. When was the last win? We are the only team that can be relied ups on to control a game possession wise yet lose it from an almost unassailable position. We do this regularly . I’m a#ing myself what it is going to take to wake everyone up to this crisis ,and crisis it is in &ootbLl terms most certainly .
