Given the almost total lack of drive in midfield since he left then perhaps it's a bit early to be glad he's gone. We've missed him greatly in the opening league games.

I would wager that Patino was brought in as a direct response to Oli's move. The way Duff wants to play certainly seems to demand midfielders who want to get the ball forward instead of endlessly recycling it to bump the stats up.
It's one of the reasons why I thought it was odd for ON to be lumped in with Grimes, Fulton and Allen as a deep midfielder by some because of a likeness with them he certainly isn't. | |

The fee was agreed but we would not release the registration until payment had been made in full. Samsunspor were told if they wanted Ntcham for Sunday the transfer had to paid in full, which they did. Other clubs have been told of our business model, hence the reason we are slow receiving offers for players.

Not a fact mate, just my take on things from pieces I have heard. Word of mouth out of the club "leaks" are very hard to get now apart from match day and even then they are very, very sketchie. [Post edited 14 Aug 2023 14:46]

For a player to tell our manager on the morning of a game that he didn't want to play, I thought the statement was adequate.
