Fish tank problem 15:03 - Jan 26 with 967 views

We have had a cold water tank now for about 12 month what we are find finding is we are getting pools of water on the cabinet it is on I have checked the tank its not leaking so would this be condensation running off the tank

Any ideas how to stop this

Turn your central heating down :-)

It's just the temperature difference of the warm air from the room hitting the colder glass of the tank. But the tank water should adjust to room temperature, so it shouldn't happen.

Is the tank being chilled using a chiller?
Do you only get condensation at certain times (such as straight after a water change)?
Have you got the tank next to a heat source like a radiator?
Do you sometimes do water changes after a few beers, and occasionally 'spill' a bit?

I had a mate from Pencader who had a fish tank with a few tropical fish in it, he wanted me to catch him a trout to put in it.
He put it in his tank and within 5 minutes the trout ate all his tropical fish, it then jumped out of the tank, flopped about on the floor and died.
