Top 5 away games......impossible, there are so many, including the last 5 away games the year we avoided the drop out of the bottom division and the turnaround started!

Preston, obviously
Liverpool in the old first 2-2
Wycombe, autoglass trohy southern final
Monaco in the ECWC
Cardiff, last game at Ninian Park

edit, QPR 5-0 to us, see too many to choose just 5.

1964 Liverpool 1-2 Swansea Town. Mother was there 7 months pregnant.
1980 Those 3 games against Crystal Palace ending in a 1-2 win at Ninian Park in front of 2000 Jacks.
1980 Travelling all the way to Newcastle twice in 6 months Apr/Oct and see us win both games 1-3 and 1-2.
1981 Preston. THAT game.
1981 Ipswich 2-3 Swansea Beating a side managed by Bobby Robson who at the time were regarded as the best side in the country behind Liverpool. Hitch hiked all the way there.

Away matches only. Cant remember the dates but here goes. Torquay 3 - 5 Swans (in the era of Lyndon Simmonds/ Emmanuel), WBA 2 - 3 Swans (Steve Thornber hatrick ), Bournemouth away 1-2 I think but we hadn`t won away for about two seasons, Beating Huddersfield at Wembley on penalties and the play off final 4-2 v Reading hell of a match. Mention in despatches for The cup game at Newcastle lost but a great trip and piss up with the Geordies and Forest away in the play off semi after Taylor had been sent off.

impossible to name just 5

First away was at Villa 1972 with my old man. Loved it
European games stand out especially St gallen, Valencia and Napoli in a short space of time. I was skint for ages after.
Paris St Germain in the Cup winners cup.
Newcastle in the early 80s.
Huddersfield final.
Reading fantastic day and into the Prem.

As I say, impossible to stick on 5.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

1966 Welsh Cup

Swans were 3-0 down, and then Don Murray got sent off in 2nd half for butting Jimmy McLaughlin.

I can remember Herbie scoring a late equaliser to make it 3-3 and take the match into extra time, and the Swans winning 5-3.

One of my all time favourite matches

Yep - saw all four of those games, plus on the Good Friday watched Fulham v Sheff Utd in the morning before going to Elm Park for the Reading game.
The previous Good Friday I saw West Ham v Birmingham in the morning, Charlton v Millwall in the afternoon then Colchester v Swans in the evening.
I believe that's impossible to do now, butmay be wrong

Ifnot why so little as it was a neutral ground ?

Preston May 1980

Liverpool October 1981

Ipswich November 1981

Manchester United August 2014

West Ham 2-0 Swansea Fa Cup 1979 First away game- scared me to death.
Liverpool 2 - 2 Swansea 1981-82 wow, just wow. ( The 3-0 a year later was awful).
Stoke 1 -1 Swansea about 1984 chased around Stoke by a few nutters with a well known Swans director as we tried to find his car.
Pompey 0- Swans 2 2008/009 FA Cup Knew then we were heading towards great things.
Wembley 2011.
