It is considering how poor Lowe and ayew have been

Shocking tonight and has been for weeks in fairness, Ayew tries to do to much on the ball.

Lowe and Ayew have got us where we are. They are out on their feet and have been for the last eight games at least but they are still giving what’s left. A bit of support for them wouldn’t go amiss here. Whittaker is a good looking performer for our future. We haven’t got the luxury of replacing our starters with anything else because we don’t have anyone else who fits the system Cooper plays. We just got to suck up this result and move on. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Cooper just said in his interview that Whittaker is a young player brought in by the club. Not one of his signings. Are any of them his signings, besides the ex England kids?

What's your exuse for him for his first ten games or so when he couldn't trap a bag cement like he is now..nice and fresh then..he can't do basics can't hold ball his passes are always too long or too short runs away from players with ball makes wrong options, nothing do with being tired just not good enough

9 goals from a winger is good enough return for £800k. I’m sure many a Premier club would love that return from a £20 million winger. The players not at fault...there is no back up to rest him and Ayew at the club.

He's not a winger though for ushes a centre forward and a bad one at that..second half he played out wide left and still couldn't trap it his first touch is further than my shot..he passes and puts players in trouble not good enough and this tired thing don't wash he was like it from start then had few good games but back his old ways...

If he was playing on the wing and contributing as a winger I’d agree But he’s not, he’s playing upfront and we need more I’ve never bought into fatigue in professional athletes but even when Lowe wasn’t scoring frequently at the start of the season he was bringing something to the party, he’s struggling big style now and needs a rest before his confidence completely shot - if were not already too late

No I’m not buying it. He was asked to play a left forward coming in to the middle of the pitch. It takes time to adjust and he did. He’s knackered and needs a goal then he’ll score a few more. Thing is people on here think we’re effing Man City regarding our players. We aren’t. We are a Championship club run on a shoe string. This is the quality in the Championship and the quality of player you get.

He's been in and out last few weeks had rest. I would rest him rest season

I’m he’s been asked to play on the left side of a front 2 not as a winger cutting in. And I think we all know we’re not Man City. The reality is that we haven’t explored options in games. Whittaker has had 2 opportunities and provided more of a threat at goal which we are desperate for I think there’s a player in Lowe but given where we are and where we are struggling it may be worth a shot with Whittaker - even if it doesn’t pay off at least we can say we tried. Our games are currently very predictable

Thing is he chose not to have out and out wingers at club so we rely on our wing backs for width,to play wing backs you need 3 centre halves spread across the back,I would revert back to four at the back one holding in front back four then four in front and one up top so 4141 with the 2 the midfielders bombing on to support the front man when in possession and dropping when not then tell the centre forward to stay central instead dropping deep constantly..

I understand where you’re coming from but we don’t have a central striker who can play with his back to goal and hold up play for the midfield to run on to. Whittaker looks...and I may be wrong...the type of forward who likes to face the opposition and run on to a through ball. I hope he is because in a year or so and some time in the gym he’s potentially a very decent player. As for the Cardiff game....who knows.

I agree in certain respects we are predictable and the better teams can manage us. I don’t class Cardiff as one of the better teams though. I think we gave the skill to beat them playing our way. Different story against the likes of Watford though.
| Whittaker on 23:25 - Mar 16 with 1550 views | Dr_Parnassus | The fact we are hoping a kid we signed for 700k from Derby who has 2 goals in about 30 games says it all about the options we have within our squad. I have said it all season and will say it again. The fact we are still in the mix is incredible and a testament to the club as a whole. | |
