Someone stated that in the position we are in, loaning players is not really any benefit and I would agree. What's everyone else's view on using the loan market?

If nothing else it should give the squad a psychological boost, however I would prefer permanent signing so that we’re developing our own asset. It’s a bit like renting a house and building an extension before giving it back

| Loan signings on 22:31 - Jan 19 with 775 views | ReslovenSwan1 | There is extra money for league positions and extra money for extra fans and TV appearances. It could be if the fees are low enough they are self sufficient. Swansea got to the payoffs last season generating a £2m or £3m extra revenue. This might not have been possible without Guehi and Woodman. Benda had had an extra year of development and it was hoped he would be ready to take on the no 1 role but it has not worked out. | |

There's no extra money for league position in the Championship.

Said it all along. its a false economy bringing loans in unless you get promoted with their help, but even then they got to be replaced, that's my opinion of course.

| Loan signings on 09:22 - Jan 20 with 547 views | Catullus | I'm not a big fan of loans unless you are desperate, as you say if we needed a good player for a final push at promotion or a boost to avoid relegation then maybe. But the situation we are in, I'd rather be looking to buy and bring our own youngsters through. Loans can be expensive and all we do is improve players for other clubs. | |

My thoughts exactly. In this case I read he has just completed his injury rehabilitation. If that’s the case how many games to get match fit and get used to the team set up etc.

They also tend to get picked ahead of our own player but are no better. The one player who stands out a little from the usual pattern would be Guehi. Although it took him an age to get up to speed he really did feel like one of our own players probably because of the length of stay. With Hannes my concern is that he replaces Paterson but has a similar experience to Morris and Arriola.
