We brought in a whole new scouting team last summer. Even without Andy Scott and Mark Allen we have more people in the building on the recruitment side than we did when Potter and crew moved on. |
There was almost no fanfare about this. Scott and Allen were high profile names and I like to think the system and methodology was established by Scott and still working effectively. The club really needs to establish a long term recruitment team.
It has bee a major weakness for several years. Swansea needs a 90% + success rate on transfers. The Tabanou Asoro and Narsingh's never had the right mentality from almost day 1. In recent times only Rhys Williams and perhaps Burns were disappointing. Goykeres and Peterson were flops but that was down to Cooper |  |

Personally I'm not worried one bit about Allen leaving. I can only base my impression on rumours and anecdotes but I think we're better off moving away from his intended approach. | | | |

It would be interesting to know if Scott left because of issues with Allen.
Really felt that Scott's influence was beginning to bear fruit and it'll be a shame if we lost him because of someone who was moved on himself not long after. |  |

It would be interesting to know if Scott left because of issues with Allen.

Certainly felt like Scott was pushed out by Allen and Martin. He was promoted when it looked like Eustace was coming and then demoted again when Martin got the job. Felt to me like that was one of Martin’s conditions for signing. That and no brown M&Ms. | |

Yes all seems a bit odd surely if he is sacked the club will have to pay what is in the contract or the PFA get involved.
If it,'s mutually agreed then there are negotiations..
Surely rules out him being tapped up though why would we pay him off if he has another job lined up.

Add the “to be proven” Ogbeta to Burns. Wolf hasn’t appeared to be Bundesliga calibre. Fisher arguably hasn’t improved the team.
