If you had a mole that changed shape, then started getting bumps would you seek medical advice? I'm not even sure if it's called a mole, just a dark blot, which started off flat, now it's got a couple of raised heads, a few people have raised concerns about it, just wondering what to do.. Would it be best to ignore it? If I have got skin cancer nothing can be done, so just crack on?
Too be honest I hate doctors, but comparing what I have taken a picture of, and it looks like melanoma , with the pictures..
What would you do get it checked out or ferk it, I'm thinking ferk it, I just don't want to know. .. .. |  |

I've been to get moles checked twice after being nagged by the Mrs, I genuinely thought they were nothing. Both turned out to be cancer. One was treated with cream and the other had to be cut out there and then.

Skin cancer is a terrible disease, but can be tackled if caught early enough.
Lost my lovely wife four years ago July 2nd to it.

Get it checked, the fear of finding out has stopped many from doing so and so caused their own death.
I had something almost exactly as you described, a flat botch that sometimes itched and seemed raised. It was nothing in the end but still they told me to keep an eye on it and come back if it changes a lot. | | | |

I’ve been back and fore a few times over the years and had 2 taken off. One was donkeys years ago, went to the doctor about an unrelated issue, he spotted the mole and decided he wanted it removed. Second time, went about another mole and the nurse saw a second, black dot on my hand - no messing about it was removed the next week. It was a huge relief when I found it was all clear. | | | |

My sister is an specialist Oncology nurse. She was diagnosed with Cancer and she admitted to me she saw the signs well before she did anything but she ignored them for a while. Then they told her it was inoperable and we thought we'd lost her so please don't wait.
I hasten to add that we seem to have received a minor miracle, they told her 2 days ago that they think the tumour has gone. Initially she was told it was a matter of seeing how long they could keep her alive with 5 years being very optimistic, a 17% chance.
