Cooper absolutely did get the best season out of him. He was a better left sided defender than he is a central midfield maestro.
And making him captain was bizarre, he had never lived up to that role.
I imagine, hope, Allen will be the voice on the pitch and far more combative in play and approach to bad refereeing decisions. |  |
