They have approximately £10m loaned into the club if you assume Silverstein is part of the group. They could convert and add this to the selling price a by adding £10m on the valuation.
Alternatively Winter will have to sell Piroe or Obafemi and pay this back in cash. The members of the Trust (assuming they are on top of things) will know for sure if they have signed a tag on drag on agreement and if they can sell the 5% golden share. (worth notionally approximately £2m).
One would think the Trust business would need to be completed before any sale. The CLN cannot be paid back with out sales I would think. The Downes money is probably not sufficient,
Would Silverstein be staying? He needed a whole month to network the joint last Christmas. He told us he was a long term investor and wanted to buy shares. I believe him. Not sure how deep his pockets are but he sold his stake in Houston FC. [Post edited 24 Jul 2022 14:16]

I wouldn't hold up much hope on Martin Morgan, no interest as it stands at present, he is currently living out in Majorca and that's how he plans to be going forward....living out there with no worries. |  |

What evidence they have no interest.? They do not go to games? OHL does not go to games but seems very interested judging by his regular posting and the emotional energy of his posts.
They also have £60m tied up in the club and would make a £60m+ profit if the club was promoted. That is £60m more than you or me. | |

A small part of me hopes a sale closes in the middle of the upcoming season, they lose their asses, and then we get promoted and they realize they blew it by selling before Summer 2023.
But a much larger part of me just hopes they are replaced by more ambitious and competent owners.

The mistake they made was keeping Jenkins on as CEO.
Otherwise they have been decent. They have kept prices down in difficult times and we have a good team in the Championship. (Not good enough? Tell that to those of us who spent decades holding on to Division 3&4 status.)
Depts are higher than anyone would like but that's down to pandemic and Liverpool fans not renewing Swansea City season tickets. But we are better run than most clubs.
Maybe they could have brought in more money but there again they have more than marched the other 31% of our shareholders. |  |

The US owners are as good as it gets for Swansea city. They have managed the re alignment of the club back to the Championship impeccably. Currently with the sale of Downes with no debts other than the CLN which they claim they will turn into investment. This would be the first investment in 20 years. No debts and a strong squad and a slew of prospects in the academy.
They have also put the Supporters Trust into a box and out of way in the running of the club by being given a ceremonial role. (A good thing in my view). A small pay off and out of the way for good. They face a future of dilution, decay and disinterest. Wrong choices chosen in 2015. The members never really figured out what they wanted except freedom from responsibility (called protection). It really was all too much for them in the end. | |
