Honestly, this game is no different to someone like Millwall/QPR.

Neither team considers it anything near a rivalry.

Absolutely right. I can remember one of Coopers away games up there and there was not a hint of bother from what I could see. There’s no rivalry - Cardiff invented one with them as they were easier to compete with than us.

I've always found Bristol to be very anti-Wales to the point where I was refused service in a cake shop because of my acccent.

They have a few fans who are not right in the head. The problem is, we have a few too.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

There’s always been trouble with them home and away. Couple of interesting days with them particularly at the vetch over the years.

Last season up there the police heavy handed after game. Someone could of got hurt with one of the higher ranked officers screaming orders to hold the line then advance. They scared alot of people with limited movement and the elderly especially with horses.

No different to any other club.

Leaving the away end at Loftus Road and walking past that pub makes me laugh everytime, always the same.

The boys in blue will get their overtime in that week. Cardiff at home on the Sunday followed by Bristol City on the Saturday.

I remember the first time going to Bristol City circa 1984 their fans squirting bleach at the Swans fans as we were coming out of that lane onto the main road.

We took over the place a couple of years ago and the police fcuked up by holding back the main group of about 1000 and when they all did come in late at that corner of the stand it all kicked off and the Wurzels scattering across that park after the game when all the Swans fans run in there about 20+ arrests that day. I'm sure some high up copper had his @rse kicked because of that day.

Its not really a rivalry though, we've got f all in common apart from them being 60 odd miles away. Cardiff revel it it but then they would wouldn't they. Got books to write you see .

Bad policing can escalate any football crowd into violence I think and if the police hadn't arsed it up last home game we might not be talking about it.

Still, if that's the way the cretins behaved I hope they got a good couple of slaps.

You only have to read messages from certain posters on this forum to know it’s a 2 way thing.

I’d guess the majority of normal grown up people in both Bristol & Wales get along just fine.

Easy pickings for the police that day, with Bristol.fans jumping out of their corner plot to try and get at the Swans fans . The police just picked them.off and carted them away. Thick or what.
That was the day Jenkins finally went from.memory.

That 1984 day was the one where there was a big tear up in Bedminster early in the day....and the Bristol Evening Post had a huge headline about it on the front page....and we all bought copies and held them up when we got into the ground.

Poll: Where will the Swans finish this season?
