Eddie Butler tried to keep Brian Moore in check, Eddie Butler was a professional, Brian Moore was an England fan, huge difference in standard, Eddie suited the Beeb.
Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.
Found this, his last Wales cap, Australia completing the 1984 grand slam... 6.30 in, it wasn't Perkins that gave the interception try, it was Eddie, I was in the East Terrace. He carried the can but we were well beaten. David Bishops only Welsh cap that day too.
Maybe Tampie should read Brian Moore's autobiography and then reflect on yet another sly dig at an English person, even on this thread. You can't get lower than that. Ive met Brian Moore and he is exactly the same in real life as on the box;not exactly easy but a terrific speaker and very clever fella. Brian wears his heart on his sleeve and is aproiud Englishman who, like many others in the game, will be moaning Eddie B.

No dig, just praise for Eddie, Eddie was the professional, Brian was the fan.

A Welsh legend...intelligent, balanced, smart...everything a thinking Welshman should be. He always was a standard bearer for reason and liberal thinking. Will be missed...really missed..

Not often I say this but Trampie was on point here. It was a great double act with BM the over enthusiastic English supporter seeing it through white tinted glasses and EB, the consummate professional setting the litmus paper back to ph zero.
