Wasn't sure about taking off Cooper and Cundle and things did not really improve after the change. However swapping Wood with Sorinola helped the midfield and made us more secure for the end of the game.

It was like having ten men for about twenty minutes because Ntcham pulled up holding his hip about 15 seconds after coming on and he could barely move but he ran it off in the end.

Today’s game would have been lost a month ago.

OK I've changed it.

A real midfield general would secure this side promotion.

Americans aren't daft, they must know with a bit of strengthening, and the way there does not appear to be any outstanding teams this year, this team can really push on

We thought that in January under Cooper. Weren’t we 3rd or something?

Desperate for a striker, yet blew the budget on X5 nonsense players that did little to the side, other than severely unbalance it.

Maybe lessons have been learned, we shall see.

I'm prepared to give them some form of benefit (maybe not much) due to injuries, but you're right, January is make or break.

The last season under Cooper, in January we looked a decent bet for a top 2 finish. A bit of investment could have seen us promoted automatically.
Instead, we ended up with nothing of the sort.
If they couldn't see the need at that point, then I would doubt that they ever will.

Investment is a good excuse for a manager not being up to a full season.
Investment or not doesn’t excuse the pitiful effort at Wembley.

No, but them being far better than us does, hence why they finished above us.

If you were annoyed by Cooper losing to a better side with a player sent off to compound things was “pitiful” then I trust you have made the same comments regarding Russell Martin’s efforts the majority of his tenure despite heavy investment?

Or maybe not…
