If Piroe will not sign he will have to be sold. £12m is my figure. Once Martin is in Southampton he can wheel and deal. He needs to get rid of Adam Armstrong who has been a £15m misfit.
If Piroe does not leave based on my estimate he devalues at £1m a month. Adam Armstrong has a strong record in the Championship but is under contract until 2025 and on big money. He has pace though. A loan with subsidised wages? A very decent record in the Championship with goal very 2.5 games. He may have lost his mojo though. |  |

Adam Armstrong should certainly be considered if Soton did coming knocking for any of our players.
As for Piroe, we shall atleast find out if Soton came calling for him if the stories regards the Piroe not being fans of Martin are true or not. |  |

Grimes was never on free. Swansea wanted £3-4m for him but Grimes wanted £30k+ a week from Fulham.
Fulham told him, because Swansea want a fee, "we can only give you £20k a week". They had fixed funds for transfer fee and wages and neither Grimes nor Swansea would budge. Swansea were paying close to that anyway than anyway so he stayed and signed a new deal.
He has no need to join Martin unless Southampton pay him the money and Swansea the fee unless Swansea appoint a kick and rush manager.
Martin has a moral obligation to sign Joel Latibeaudiere. He has bigged him up despite reservations from others. He wanted to give the player between £400k and £500k a year in wages. | |
