Clearly not as good as some thought.

Plays like a free spirit and that's fine if you're good enough, but I haven't really seen enough of the lad to decide for myself, good luck to him anyway.

No self discipline is what I was told at the time and he would not take advice and basically thought he knew it all. Seems that could well be right.

Well, if that's the case he needs to listen to people who know and not listen to people who are happy to blow smoke up his jacksy, otherwise his career is going nowhere, similarities to Obafemi perhaps.

West Ham once let Leon Britton go on a free transfer.

Obafemi has a club, it will be interesting to see where Oko Flex ends up.

Not that much.

I liked what I saw of him here, although given Russy's allergy to pace, aggression or even intent in general his time at Swansea was a waste. I'd expect him to get picked up by someone soon. What he does then is up to him. Leon siezed the opportunity.

What I saw was he had pace and could run, but no discipline and didn't seem to be carrying out instructions. Ntcham Grimes and other senior players were clearly seen to be reminstrating with him but he just shrugged his shoulders and ignored them. No wonder he left here and West Ham.

If the instructions were stupid and not intended to get the best out of a player like Oko, and given that it was Russy issuing them we have to at least consider the possibility, can we really blame him?

I would imagine West Ham released him because at the moment there's no real prospect of him improving the starting lineup (or even matchday squad) of a PL team and they're probably right. It's a bit of a leap to suggest he's being booted from there for failing to follow instructions.

All I really took from his time here is that he was a player who looked to have geniune pace allied to attacking intent and Russell Martin had absolutely no idea what to do with him so mostly just didn't.

Only time will tell who was right who was wrong, over the years we have seen many come here on loan, fail to deliver and disappear. It seems to happen more with London clubs, Chelsea in particular.

Absolutely. London clubs seem particularly good at producing fast attacking black players, not all of whom ultimately make the grade. Demographics probably plays a big role. All I'm saying is that Oko's failure to achieve much here had a lot more to do with the man in charge than the player himself.

I must be talking in a different language, I'm talking about similar attitudes to each other.
Whether they have a club or not the similarities are there, are they not ??

He's a winger & Martin doesn't play wingers. I don't know who's decision it was to bring him in but it was never going to work for us or him - another wasted loan.
I don't think he'd have got much game time under Cooper either.

I wouldn’t be disappointed to see him at Swansea.

Nor me, as long as the new manager wanted to use wingers and actually use pace as an offensive weapon.

Then lets see what Oko-Flex has got. He wouldn't be the first player to make a club regret releasing them, as Dr W said, Leon!

He thought he was bigger and better than the Swans, which is a shame, because I could see a player there.

Swansea had a more experienced hardened pacy winger in Asoro. He was clueless in his defensive duties and will probably never be good at that. It will not do in the Championship. Player must be prepared to learn and act on instructions. Swansea took a hit on Asoro as Cooper made it clear he simply did not fit in his team. He is doing OK in Sweden with some caps.

This player probably needs to drop down leagues and hope eventually the penny will drop.

Dreadful loan for him with Matin not giving him game time.
When he did play I thought he was the only player generating some excitement.
