| PL 23:30 - Nov 5 with 2085 views | Fireboy2 | A bif of a reality check. How many of our 'fans' expect us back in this sh!te league next or the season? | | | | |
| PL on 23:34 - Nov 5 with 2070 views | KeithHaynes | Sheehan is a couple of touches away from getting it going, it’s just that the fans haven’t got the patience. I think his only enemy is himself and his cautious approach, however tonight he abandonned that but the outcome was the same. He will get more time, the board aren’t near ready to go through the sacking process again. | |

Answer the question.😉 | | | |
| PL on 23:56 - Nov 5 with 2024 views | Whiterockin | We have a squad good enough to be top 8, if Sheehan is good enough to get us into that position I'm not so sure. Do I expect us to go up this season no, but I expect us to improve on last season. Do I expect us to go up next season, I think the play offs should be a serious aim so possibly. I think the ownership have serious ambition for the club so I expect us to get promoted within 3 seasons. | | | |

| PL on 08:39 - Nov 6 with 1869 views | howenjack | I think last night showed us that this league is second only to the premiership in its brutality. As Kenny Jackett said many moons ago "The game is about small margins ". Last night we were slow to react when a headed clearance reached Small in space . We should have closed the sp ace much quicker. Result - wonder strike. Their second a forward ball resulting in a 1 on 1 .Key v. Osmajic. We seem to play our best football when our backs are against the wall . We did that v Forest and last night we showed when we play with a more attacking mindset we start to ask far more questions of the opposition. The reality is like last night we run out of time and its a case of what might have been. Like others on here I think we have been too timid to attack teams when opportunities were there playing the safe pass instead of showing more ambition. We need a reset in our approach - get on the front foot and attack from the off . Be pro active not reactive . Play with more pace I.E move the ball quicker and dont allow the opposition time to get set in defence. I think we need to play far more one touch/2 touch football in training from back to front. Encourage more off the ball running in all areas . We are too static in games and do not move opponents round enough. At times we just pass the ball and everyone stands still . There has to be a pass followed by movement . When we play with a higher tempo you can sense the opponents struggling to keep us out and having to make changes due to fatigue. Its usually too late for us by then . We need to start from the off be more ruthless and get on the front foot. I was impressed with Samuels Smith when he came on because he showed he has a fighting mentality and is a winner . This is what we need now we have to win our individual battles as we are in a dog fight. | | | |

Don’t think I’ve seen such an open championship as this with the three coming down nowhere to be seen for once, who’d have the thought Stoke would be up there, Preston, Millwall, Charlton, hull and even Derby! Could be some more big clubs, with big concourses, in league 1 next season that’s for sure.

CC FB2 I can see exactly what you are saying, he was right in saying another day playing like that , could be a different result......but for me theres something missing/not right How many times have we seen eom try that move this season , a dozen , or more? same thing , cut in and aim for the far post. Ronald is not the same player as when he first played, weve seen the criticism of Key etc and still its deja vu, it may happen but im not holding my breath, im holding my anger atm. As to the PL, i started following the Swans 64 because of the cup, and it was a downward spiral, well not spiral, but drop for about 10 12 yrs after. and ther was me desperatly wanting just to be back in the old div 2 again. and being the ridicule of all those local liverpool, leeds, chelsea etc and of course the biggest rat club in Wales Cardiff. Along came HG and wow, what a change attacking football, goals, and lo and nehold Tosh , back to where we belong Div 2 , but no even more Div 1 .........but wait , for me something was lost that club feeling, gone , surrounded by strangers/plastics, the division waas lost and so were the plastics, along came the dark side, i along with many gave what we could and saved the club. its stop rambling time form me, but just to say at my stage of life id be happy to see a good footballing side in the division we are in now,....and of course some freaking goals or what do the so called data experts call them now? SG? because any trip to the PL now will cost us £££s and I dont think in these days the effort to save the club is there after what we have witnessed in the past, if things go pear shaped again, and where are we now?

| PL on 20:25 - Nov 6 with 1542 views | QJumpingJack | We will finish mid-table which will probably be fine. The last transfer window was the beginning of the repair. It could take another 2-4 windows before we are competitive. Terry Yorath had to lose 9 consecutive games in 1991 before being sacked. [and had been backed in the transfer market]. | | | |

If we are not very close to the play offs Galbraith and Vipotnik will be gone, we may not be any better off in 2-4 windows. The squad will be older, some will have been moved on and unless some of the fringe purchases step up we will be no better off. [Post edited 6 Nov 20:40]

This is my worry. Not being top 6 this season really isn’t an issue for me. But the knock on effect of losing our better players concerns me.

| PL on 07:59 - Nov 7 with 1393 views | jacksfullaces | always hope, never expect. would love to see the current team click and put a run together, they may still do that. if they don't and they win a few, lose a few they will finish mid table. which means likely they will be looking up at some point, but then looking over their shoulders at other points. we never seem to expect the latter to happen if we are going to end up mid table, yet it is in those moments that the knives come out as we rightly fear the worse case scenario. that pretty much sums up our last decade in my mind. | | | |

exactly, its npt a 2-4 window option, its going to be a constant renew/rebuild.
| PL on 10:03 - Nov 7 with 1321 views | onehunglow | Yep, I’d like us becoming a club that can keep its best players for longer Thought new ownership would have facilitated this This league could see us top six or bottom three The PL it is not Nothing , no position is off the table We can beat anyone but also lose to anyone We have a good core to the squad Fans not ‘ fans’ [Post edited 7 Nov 10:04]

| PL on 10:55 - Nov 7 with 1272 views | wwcigne | All fans expect sometimes unrealistic goals from their clubs ,just the nature of the game I suppose,it’s getting harder to compete these days with the money some clubs have to spend but some still buck the trend and manage keep hold of their best players and pick up unpolished diamonds to build competitive squads over a couple of seasons ,keeping hold of good players is another matter though especially when big wages are offered elsewhere | | | |
| PL on 18:13 - Nov 7 with 1153 views | shingle | Think I will stick with my pre season prediction a 12 to 16 league position those who believe we have a chance of promotion are being silly billys, I would imagine the last 10 minutes of the Forest game will be the seasons highlight. | | | |
