Much as I don't like to criticise our youngsters Lloyd has had a very poor season. Yes he has been better of late but still not a stand out player. Any player we have on loan at a league two club should be head and shoulders over the other players on the pitch if they are to push for future with us. He has not even been in the squad some games and others come on off the bench, I have watched several of their games this season and probably his best game was against Shrewsbury. He's just turned 21 and has a year left on his contract, a big 12 months coming up I wouldn't be surprised if there was a mutual agreement like Glory Nzingo also 21 at the time of departure. |  | | |

I recall Connor Roberts having a difficult time in loan all be it at a higher level. Player of the season at Yeovil . He then struggled to get games at Middlesbrough and Leeds in the Championship. Dan James barely got a kick in at Shrewsbury.
Lloyd is getting 30 or so games under his belt and developing his game as a senior and getting physically stronger.
Matos needs to have a good look at him pre season. As I understand it Lloyd has good physical upside like Connor. Durability endurance pace etc.. | |

I’d really like to see them win today and stay up. The Swans have loaned them players previously and I think this is an arrangement that could really work well going forward. Newport isn’t far away and it’s much easier for the club to keep tabs on their development and bring them back periodically to keep in touch and monitor. It would also allow the younger players the chance to commute and benefit from a settled home environment.
I don’t see Newport as a threat because I think their absolute ceiling is mid League 1, so it makes sense to have an amicable working arrangement that would benefit both clubs. |  | | |

He plays for the U21 every week and doing pretty well. The other contract refusnik has not been seen at all.Brogan Popham. He could be injured.
One could speculate Perry has agreed something and Popham has not. Just speculation.
