In UK with our very generous welfare it would be easy to apply pressure to i uninvited guests. Health education land ownership car ownership. It is all based on levels of entitlement and that is controlled by information linked to Id cards.
Reform and co hate "id" cards more than anyone. The argument is stained by Tony Blair issues. People are disillusioned and always will be as the cure is more hated than the problem.
Crooks and shady characters do not like illumination and information and traceability . The operative in shadows and use cash or crypto. The police have no powers so it is not worth going after them.
In the nation that can handle immigration carrying of id in mandatory and citizens are obliged to show it to police on request. Turks accept this as a price worth paying. |  |

Digwas is actually appealing against his conviction and is seeking to have it quashed as well as appealing against his sentence.
