Sorry, got to 5 mins and realised he’s a bit of a plank really - racist, sexist and general 2hat.
Maybe I should have waited longer before coming to that conclusion but thst was enough.
I will repost this.
The whole point of this is to note the context of what this person is saying, and of course solicit any thoughts on what the BBC are reporting. You left a comment regards sexism and racism, that is certainly worthy of watching the whole content to illustrate a little more and maybe start a conversation about it.
Yes it’s controversial but he’s not on here anymore 👍
A greater understanding of what is and isn’t racist or sexist (a lot of people are different) as an example is helpful to the many others who read this. I agree on your supposition of his character to an extent, but he is a brave man regardless which side of the wall he wants to walk on. That’s was the lasting impression he gave me bar your assumption he is a plank. Which again is worth discussion.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Plank isn’t a descriptor I use often if at all but it seemed to fit.
Mentioning the Asian named journo with the addition of her being an ‘unwanted guest’ was frankly terribly racist unless for some reason I’ve misunderstood as I’ve only watched it the once.
The fact he can stand the heat where some can’t is not to me a reason for mockery. I can take the heat to an extent but my wife is as miserable as sin in these conditions. I know of some women (by being told not by experience) who need a hot water bottle all year round. We are all different.
As for him being a brave man. As a RM with at least 2 Middle East tours under his belt will of course tested that. Or do you mean brave to say the things he did?
He’s clearly fishing for hits as is the trend these days.
A bit of a reflection of communication these days, Bootneck's social media style pushing for attention and clicks masks some good points about what passes as journalism these days. Including the increasingly popular trend of manufactured stories and issues again competing for attention. I'm pretty sure continually promoting anxiety states will create some anxiety and the BBC should be above that level of questionable journalism.

I’m referencing his military career which I would support regardless of anyone’s politics. Completely.
The woman who leaves her husband to read their child bedtime stories whilst she ‘cries’ because she is soooo concerned about the heat in her child’s bedroom is an utterly useless cretinous idiot and not fit to parent. All she is doing is thinking of herself when she could be making the child cooler. That I agree with. Totally. Is the UK that tolerant of these bellends ? Really ?
I think this guy has been on YouTube for a number of years. Clicks ? Not so sure.

Glad the featured BBC article's mum and her family didn't attend the Leeds v. Wrexham game in Tampa, Florida last night! The temp was only 86-87° F at gametime, but had a Heat Index of 95-96° F due to the high humidity!
Wrexham won 3-2.

He sounds like a typical booty to me. Some of his points are spot on in an increasing namby pamby world but, of course, there are people who are more susceptible to the heat. We just aren't used to it and we do need to grow a pair if this is going to become the norm (or at least get a portable A/C unit. Not sure why or that he is having a dig at the BBC but that may be more to my own political sway

We went Celsius decades ago mun
Yes, according to my research, Great Britain officially went from Fahrenheit to Celsius in 1961. However, the game was played in Tampa, FL, which is in the US for those who don't know, and is the reason the temps were reported in Fahrenheit.

I think his wider point is spot on - the weather was 32c /90 farenheight for around three months in 1976 and we didn’t have dark red weather maps (which is a huge exaggeration) . There was no such thing as heatwave anxiety back then just a lot of joy.
