Hard to know with Nige....He was confident of winning and Binface was never going to get anywhere near his majority as a comedy protest vote

Not like him to pass up an opportunity to bask in the glory and feed his ego so maybe there was a credible threat based on recent events ?

If some plan was afoot, my guess is that it was more about turning the event into a circus than a physical threat. Beyond that, I don't suppose Nigel was keen to be photographed alongside the massed ranks of joke candidates.

Interesting isn’t it
Nige really coming across as uber arrogant but he’s spouting what many would like

Frankly I’m with him on several issues and not with others
He’s no Prime Minister material IMO

Farage is done.

He won’t be party leader in a year’s time. I wouldn’t be surprised if the investigation into the 5 million quid (which was for security but can’t have been enough seeing as he was unable to be at the count) looks like it’s going against him he’ll resign, saying things like media stitch up, the establishment would never let me run the country etc.

This in turn will rile those who were furious about Raynor’s stamp duty and Starmer’s glasses but when Farage says his donations are nobody’s business get even more angry at the scrutiny.

Possibly, possibly not. An increase for Farage in total votes and voting percentage says otherwise.

Against a bin.

Such a farcical process I don’t think we can take anything concrete from the result.

Many thought the bin would actually win as a protest vote yesterday, it didn't materialise. The turnout was down due to the major parties not putting up candidates but Reform actually gained support. Whether Farage has broken any rules time will tell, if he has he will be finished, if he hasn't he will win the next GE at a landslide. Who knows what will happen, I wouldn't like to call it.

The same bin Andy Burnham had to beat recently.

But yes it is a farce. The other parties refusing to stand a candidate, particularly the conservatives who would have had the best chance of beating Farage have stuck two fingers up at the electorate and this might come back to bite them on the arse.

No nothing.

There's a very good chance there'll be another Clacton by election in the next few months, that'll give a better indication.

I refer you to your comments on the "Farage resigns as MP for Clacton" to judge the value of your opinion.

Farage should pay his dodgy £5m to cover the £5m cost of that ridiculous election.
No shame Nige.
Caught lying again saying the police advised him not to go on the stand. The police deny this.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

The ones to blame for the rise of Farage and Lowe’s profile is the continuing uselessness of the Tory and now Labour government’s.

As the saying goes, You reap what you sow, the Tory and Labour voters need to think on this, look at Wales after 27yrs of the useless Welsh Labour Party and now we got the useless Plaid Cymru party, the party for Wales and it’s people, what an absolute joke that is. No wonder support for Reform is growing in Wales.

Clearly the lefty media have it in for him
He’s appealed to that which folk worry about
He’s touched a chord with many
Badenoch is clearly the most impressive leader now

Labour fans will insult abuse or denigrate those they see as threats to their power base
It is always the Tories fault

Pretty sure that the police wouldn’t discuss Farage’s position with a returning officer. Clearly not what is called an Osman warning ( threat to life ) so - Nobody will ever know.

I’ve said it for long enough and my opinion still stands that the political landscape in this country is an utter disgrace for a country with the standing that Great Britain had and it has to be said that, that standing is well and truly in the gutter, you got career politicians like Starmer to thank for that.

He said it all to prove my point as well “my journey in politics is over” man’s an utter louse and give billions away to try and further is political career and be a political force in Brussels and he rightly crashed and burned and he should be brought to book for the amount of taxpayers money that he give away, along with the clueless Halifax receptionist.

These left wing Fabian aholes need booting out and politicians with the right ideals a centrist who can acknowledge both the left and the right and make decisions to suit both the left and the right.

At the moment it appears politicians with a right wing leaning have to consider their safety along with their families. Also certain GB news presenter's had to be evacuated in the middle of the night from their home for their safety.
I wonder where the threat to their lives is coming from and how in a allegedly democratic society we counter this.

Sums up British Politics when Leaders are at risk of death for voicing an opinion .
File alogside the recent Anne Widdicome death , and I do not vote Reform either .

Sometimes think all Politicians are so scared of upsetting their voters and the Police are so tied down with ethnic guidelines and rules all the nut jobs see MPs as a valid target .

Prisons are full anyway and a sympathetic judge will give me a warning , do not repeat .

Totally agree with you.

Essex Police had an ACC in charge of the Gold Command structure in place for the by election count and I find it extremely difficult to believe the Reform statement that the police told Farage not to attend the count. Given that this is an extremely high profile event and given the PSU resources that Essex police and the Met (neighbouring force) can deploy I think the story is BS.

At a Reform event, confirming he was not going to attend Farage’s said “But I’m damned if I’m going to stand on a stage, having won a resounding victory, a ringing endorsement of all that I’ve tried to fight for, and you’ve tried to fight for, and be demeaned and humiliated by nobodies, and I will not sadly be attending the count.” which I suspect is real issue. Being photographed with Binface et al wasn’t to his liking.

Why has the pendelum swung now that the left are perceived to be ( and proven in many cases) the enemy of free speech . Don't agree fine but dont follow up your disagreement with violence .

If I was in my younger days as an activist I certainly wouldn’t want to be attached to these so called left wing people. Would end up in violence 😂
