I can't eat cheese anymore( ?).

My current breakfast of choice is two Birds Eye waffles and two poached eggs. The eggs have to be poached in water not in those fancy-cuppy things and the waffles toasted.

FFS, it's Called 'Hellim', not Haloumi.

Can't even come onto a Football forum in the middle of a meltdown without some ill informed oik incorrectly pronouncing the name of the wife's country's cheese.

Jimmy out etc.

Can we not knock it?

Id really like to put James 'Just call me Mr Green Light' Corden in a Harkonnen pain amplifier.

I would knock one up in the shed this afternoon, but im clean out of the components for an inertial field Tachyon subtractor Chamber .

Curses.

Has anyone ever tried a grout pen? The tiles in the kitchen above the sink are looking pretty rank, and I'm considering a grout pen as a cheap and easy solution.

I always feel sorry for people with two titles that they are forced by law to insert into their name. Prof Sir Brian McCarthy would have me barred from most pubs I know. luckily I'm a humble Mr. Quantity Surveyor Brian McCarthy and I get waved right in.

Brian, may I suggest an improvement on your choice of breakfast. Rather than frozen waffles, buy the Warburton Thins and split one and toast it. Wilt a good handful of spinach, (can be done in one minute in a microwave), place on the toasted pieces and place some smoked salmon on top of the spinach. And then place your poached eggs on top. You then have a very tasty and nutritious breakfast full of iron, good fish oils and protein. I swear by it.

Any tips for poaching an egg correctly? I can never seem to get it right.

My cheese of the day is Cave aged Mahon Cheese from Menorca. If you see it in the UK, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

The suction pad bracket that holds my shower head occasionally comes off the wall, dropping the shower head and aforementioned bracket into the shower tray. Often it does this in the middle of the night, scaring the beejeeezus out of me. If I wasn't such a lazy fukcer I would replace it with a fixed bracket.

The way I do them:-

1) Boil water
2) Turn heat to a minimum. There should be no bubbling in the water.
3) Add salt and vinegar to stop water bubbling
4) Stir around the outside of the pan in a circle to make a slow whirlpool-y effect
5) Put the egg in a cup and drop the egg in softly while the water is circling and it should all wrap around the yolk and make a small neat packet with not too much watery $hite
6) When it's laid up it should be neat and tasty, burst it over the bread or waffles.
7) Declare yourself a genius.

I'll try that, thanks! I think they do gluten free. If so, I'm laughing.

In normally on lurk in the shadows , but the missing ingredient here is white wine vinegar.

It helps the egg to stay together better than without. In more of a ball. Much more appealing.

Fancy cuppy thing for me every time. Small nob of butter, but let's not worry about that.

Mrs Iz is a stirring the water proponent.

As a consequence we rarely enjoy poached eggs together.
