The Early Edition Rhyming Slang 'Aitor Karanka' Match Thread 11:42 - Feb 26 with 32940 viewsDorse

Currently undefeated when starting match threads this season, I was unsurprised when Warbs 'Warby' Warburton called this morning and insisted that I start this one. 'Dorse', he said, for we are close and often share recipes, 'you know what to do'.

Sadly, I didn't but it was nice of him to call.

Set up what should have been the second goal.

True, good point. But generally I thought he was anonymous.

Field shot blocked.

Absolutely - clear 7 yards out. Hit ball over the bar.
By the way why is Willock only able to play not even an hour??

Willock missed a good chance to impress today.

The move and pass for Johansen was pretty good, no?

Dieng really is Mr Authority in his penalty area

Dieng seems to be a throwback to where keepers dominated thier box on crosses.... must be so good for defenders to have a keeper like him

Two observations:

1) enjoying Dieng’s penalty area dominance. Can’t remember the last time we had a keeper who was so comfortable claiming crosses.

2) is it mandatory for Birmingham to have a Gardiner in their starting 11? I’m sure they’ve had various different Gardiners over the years.

They are crap but we are just hanging on at the moment. We need to grab #2 before the inevitable

Surprised they've taken Bela off as he's looked their liveliest player.

There don't seem to have Gardiners doing the pitch

JoJo robs one in the box but a poor pass gives Bonne no chance.

Lovely first-time slip pass by Jo-Jo to Bonne, who shoots wide from a tight angle.

Well, today it could be match fitness. Or it could be just that it played poorly.

JoJo blazes a shot wide.

Or it could be because of the yellow card he picked up in the first half.
