Where, in all seriousness, is the progress with these players and this team? It's one step forward and two or three back every single time. 0-0 draws on the road against poor and/or mediocre sides that peel the enamel from your teeth, and blowing hot and cold at home.

Why does this all feel horribly inevitable? |
We can play well, but we cant play well for 90 odd minutes, (I'm not sure anybody can).
We haven't lost because we haven't got a horrendous Injury list we've been out played, out managed, and SHIT.
It's endless crap at home and not much better away from home.

I give you Madsen - totally shit last season, this he’s got a lot of grit and being physical so he looks suited to this level.

They were much the better side and we were a yard off it from the 1st minute. The lack of intensity and desire reeked of arrogance, just turn up and we'll win.
And with Madsen out we have zero CM who can actually pass a ball forward.

That was truly abysmal. We are supposedly trying to be a possession-based side yet our manager has not won a single game when we have had more possession. The thought of him in charge next season, unable to respond or change anything during a match, is very depressing. I think we are going to finish below where we came last season despite having a stronger squad.

That's what struck me watching today - we are just so poor at retaining possession, passing it, and building up a head of steam for more than two or three minutes. Our heads of steam barely amount to a teapot's, more often that not.
We are at least four or five quality, canny Champ players short from front to back at this level. Can't the manager see it? If he can, what are we doing about it?
As for Cook and Dunne, they fell so far short, a great deal of today is on them. | |

Not an XI you pick at home to a struggling side. That was an XI for Hull or Southampton away. Tragically poor with the ball and didn’t get bailed out by the defence for once.
Has to be a mentality thing to put in the worst performances of the season every time there’s a slight glimmer of hope of scraping sixth. Injuries, fitness, tactics and all the rest play a part but really Blackburn just fancied it more today and had the best player on the pitch on the day by a mile in Morashita.

I'm furious. We looked unprepared and uninterested. Some of the players are not championship standard (Bennie and Saito especially). Cook was awful after some very good performances recently and Ronnie nowhere near the player we had on loan. Stephane needs to take some of the blame for sending them out there unprepared. The injuries have totally killed us.
Fair play to Blackburn. They took their chances and then sat back and watched us f#ck up any attempt at turning things round.
One silver lining is that the crowds at the player signing on Monday should be a lot smaller now and my kids still want to go. I won't be able to look Bennie in the eye though. | | | |

They deserved to win the game as they exploited the gaps in our midfield and defence that we failed to rectify. First goal was a peach.
