Liked most of ‘em, hard to beat The Sweeney but I also loved The Rockford Files.

The Rockford Files was brilliant. Great intro too.

1) The Shield
2) Spiral/Engrenages
3) The Cops - BBC show from about 20 years ago, set in the North. Fantastic.

This was absolutely terrific:

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Tsk, Tsk (can't remember). They had her snorting coke in the first episode, which didn't go down well.
According to Wikipedia, despite Series 1 & 2 winning Baftas and Series 3 also being nominated, only the first was released on video and they've only once been repeated, on UK Drama. Lots of ruffled feathers, both with the police themselves and with "community leaders". Quite prophetic in fact.

Good job no one has mentioned The Wire otherwise it would have taken over the thread and that would never do.

I saw the actor popping up for about 30 seconds as an ER doctor at the end of Goodfellas. Didn't get a chance to give a shiiiiiiiit. Their loss.
