Just seen Liverpool attacker Jota has died in a car accident. So sad, even worse is that he only got married less than a week ago

Shocking. 28 years old and had most of his life ahead of him.

Horrendous...
Makes you realise for two minutes of the fragile nature of life....
No amount of money or adulation is worth it, if you pass away at 28.
RIP Diogo. [Post edited 3 Jul 2025 10:14]

A Liverpool supporting mate sent me a message 'Jota, WTF.' I thought he had been transferred. Fast cars.
No words, tragic. Rest In Peace Diogo.
Brings back memories of that Saturday morning when the Ray Jones news broke. Rest In Peace Ray.

Tyre blowout in his Lamborghini while overtaking, according to Spanish police at the scene. Driving a high-performance car comes fraught with greater risks, I guess. So sad for him, and his new wife and family.

Terrible news for all his family, Diego 28 and his younger brother Andre Silva 26. Condolences to them on their double loss.

RTC fatalities are rare these days, largely due to technology in cars. Double fatalities are very rare. It will be interesting to know if they were wearing seatbelts. Very sad news. Thoughts are with their families.
