QPR and non league. 14:46 - May 11 with 5763 viewsSnipper

I’m giving up my season ticket next season, so will just pick and choose games via a membership. I miss too many games to justify paying for a gold season ticket.

I’ve bought a season ticket for Wealdstone. Only £125, and a good way to support grassroots football.

I’m also going to go to a few Harefield United games.

Same situation, I will go to the first game of the season and will try and get to a few away games. I’ll also be popping along to Harefield United as I used to coach a youth team there and a few of the boys are getting promoted to the senior teams and as I have moved out to Aylesbury will pop along to a few Wycombe, Thame Utd and Aylesbury games if I can

You’ll still be angry sometimes but nobody else will know why.The refs are still crap and give the wrong decisions and the players still cheat, but your support will be appreciated more.
And you can have a beer while you’re watching it too.

Saw the title and my first thought was “yep, looks like we could be heading there”

Seems like the stands will be a tad emptier than ever next season then. Such a shame.
I’m glad the tourists from South Korea aren’t as prevalent as years gone by; but it’s a crying shame how this board have continued to ware away at the loyal fan base. It’s an attrition of $hite.

Where will it end?

I tried that at Billericay Town when Paladini turned up.

Spent the whole game following Rangers on the phone , into the clubhouse for half time report .
I didnt care about the result either which makes football boring for me .

Bought a half season ticket for the Upper Loft , then back in SAR the next year ...lesson learnt .

This thread illustrates perfectly why the fans no longer sing "Whatever the season..." I expect you'll all be back if we go on a winning streak or a good cup run? Not that I expect us to, but I'll carry on supporting them in the bad times.

The grass is always greener.

I’m still going to go, but not having a season ticket is the difference. I’ve had the same seat for 22 seasons. It’s an aisle seat in the upper loft, but I’ve missed half the games during the last 4 seasons, either through work or not being bothered.

Some people have done very well out of my ST. I’ve never charged and never would for it’s use. I’ll probably still make half the games, but I’ll buy as I go via a membership.

If that makes me less of a fan in some eyes, then so be it.

The old man has just moved to Harefield so i might see you there snipper
Haven’t had a season ticket since 2001 as I can’t get to midweek games due to work
I’m optimistic about Warburton and if we can get a few gems signed on the cheap and start playing smyth and chair then I don’t think we will do to badly ( kiss of death)

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

So do I. Doesn't stop me watching other teams/games. Only done the 7 games this week. Still probably got about a dozen more games to see finishing on 9th June in Porto for some England game.

I need to get out more.

Started going to Molesey FC a couple of seasons now although like Ranger's they struggled last season and even ended up going down. I like it there though, its a stones throw from me and has a good community feel. Of course I check the scores for how QPR are doing on a Saturday, usually see they're losing and try to forget about it. I havnt been to LR for in two seasons now but have done a few away matches which I find more enjoyable. Also, the Red Button thing on Sky, get to see all our midweek matches on tv anyway. Don't blame the board for QPR's predicament, the EFL are destroying football with their rules.

Chris, how many games do you think you’d have watched this season including June?

I think the main reason a lot of fans (myself included) have not renewed isn't to do with lack of success, more to do with football itself. I'm struggling to think of one game this season which wasn't ruined by time wasting, cheating, slowing down the play, and we are one of the worst teams for doing it. It kills the game and isn't exciting for fans anymore. Also the fact that it just feels like fans aren't thought of whatsoever. I used to enjoy going on Saturday's but these days its become leaving at 2, and leaving my seat the second the whistle blows. I will still follow qpr, will try to go to about 6/7 home games and 6/7 away games and make it an enjoyable day out- rather than a chore.

Football is a business these days and i'm not sure spending £500 to watch a business fail at running properly a fun thing to do every Saturday.

Fair play to you all but personally I couldn’t think of anything worse than going to a non league game. Have a break have a kitkat
