Well that's the left totally sorted with flexibility to move Paal further forward if needed. Really hoping a combo of either Dunne/JCS/Fox can build a strong defensive partnership. Would love a solid 46 game right back to come in as well but hopefully Kakay can improve consistency this season.
The versatile 29 year old has joined the Rs after leaving Stoke at the end of his contract. His arrival eases the worries of our defensive numbers, as well as providing welcomed experience.
WLS suggesting Forino deal might also happen, loads of cover if that did. Clive not confident but with Fox in the house gives more options on where to play Paal. With a small squad multi optional players a must. Seems a decent signing to me. It’s all about who we lose that worries me most

It's probably like we'd be for one of our players but there's a whole raft of opinions from the Stoke fans, ranging from thank god he's gone to he was one of our best players last season. He certainly seems to be the right sort, nobody thinks he's an arse, and he's versatile being able to play CB or LB which could be vital in such a small squad.
The balance of opinions seems to suggest he'll be a good, solid pro, which is what we need atm, rather than someone massively skilful or pacy. Some fans are saying Stoke only wanted to offer him a one year contract, which is why he turned them down. They seemed to need as many players as us to rebuild the squad. Interesting it's not just us.

I went on The Oatcake to have a look . One poster said "where have QPR got this pot of gold from "
I'm a bit meh. it's a position where we dont need extra cover but hes coming on a free, with plenty of Championship experience. If he plays LCB then he has to be an improvement on Gubbins, but behind JCS. If that bugger ever stays fit.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one’s lifetime. (Mark Twain)
