New CEO - Lee Hoos 15:07 - May 20 with 18662 viewsMaggsinho

And someone with a football background! Formerly Chief Exec of Burnley.

New CEO - Lee Hoos on 16:03 - May 20 by boobishabang

On asking my Burnley mate about the appointment his answer was:

OMG...This is brilliant news....He's f**king useless!!!

The reasons they hate him seem to be good news for us though - i.e. running a tight ship, refusing to chuck money at transfers and players.

When all the waster players are gone this summer, the headline banner can be;

"Hoos let the dogs out"

...coat...

I'm told he's keen on signing more Koreans; Kim Sang-Hoon, Lee Chang-Hoon and Kim Jong-Hoon are all coming. The headline will be:

Hoo's Hoops Hooks Hoons.

he has been CEO during their most recent successful period... Did they give reasons as to why he is useless?

Lots on his ethos and how he goes about it here...

http://nonaynever.net/17415/part-1-no-nay-never-meets-lee-hoos/

“For clubs, it’s a tough environment out there, because so many, even big clubs like Rangers, you see them go bust, you think no one’s really safe. You have to really watch your Ps and Qs and your financial management of your club, otherwise you can get really really stuck,” Hoos said.

And the Rs, Lee. You have to really watch the Rs, too.

Very encouraging appointment. VERY encouraging.

"in 2008, Hoos took a job at Leicester City, working for Milan Mandaric, where he helped to sell the club to the Thai consortium that still owns the Foxes".

So that's why we've hired him.......

Yeh Burnley fan on Twitter said don't expect any money for players (good!) and do expect ticket prices to go up (bad!).

Can't see his role as being telling Mittals and Tune Groups how much money they should/should not spend.

His role in our club is going to be mainly PR and to sort out detail/planning etc around training ground and new ground.

If he's NOT seen on SSN on deadline day, that's all good with me!

Took them 4 years to find that out did it?

I'm guessing that comes from the fact that Burnley fan I know thought they should have spent more money.

When everyone was praising Dyche for his settled side policy, he said to me "That's only because we haven't got anyone else to play"!

Because rather than allow Dyche to spunk a fcking fortune that the club couldn't afford, he made him work within a tight budget, getting the best out of the squad and coming down this season with a fortune in the bank and a platform to sensibly improve again and invest in infrastructure too.

Same strategy WBA used for 5/6 year of yo-yoing whilst building themselves up to be able to establish in the PL.

We have a CEO. He has a football background. He'll be here in the UK. He has DOF to help him and there's a head coach in place.

On the face of it, to me at least, it's a step in the right direction.

As someone who worked in an away stand for five years, I'd suggest taking opinions from northern football fans on the cost of football with a vat of salt.

Are the Mittals still interested or involved in any way?

It was Amit Bhatia's project and he is now sadly divorced from the Mittal daughter
with whom he had the most expensive wedding in history.

Do the club employees read the message board you ask?

"very impressive list of candidates we spoke to during an extensive interview process"

to me it's obvious they do mate - it's such a close knit group - I'm sure the media team are keeping tabs of the main forums.

FIFA needs to step in and take a look at expensive weddings.

Aren't Burnley used to free season tickets ? Sure they did, not so long ago.
Anything would be an increase from £0.

books? we havent had books since they disappeared in the back of Palladinis second hand Fiat.

He was more likely to open the safe and find half eaten Rosie dog biscuits and IOU's to harry from agents of fine standing reputation.

He sounds just what we need, give him a chance.

I think Hoos is about to find out that the "There is no money left" letter David Cameron hawked around before the election in fact came from Loftus Road.
